The original suspect MC is NOT a suspect and has been released.

Victims were the boys mother and adult sister. They were shot to death.
The ONE suspect, Daniel Rodriguez is the mother's boyfriend, but NOT the boy's father.

I have a feeling he will sue them after being arrested at work and making his employers think he is a murderer and splashing his photo everywhere.

This story was confusing as all get out! From the link:

Malcolm Crowell, 22, is no longer a person of interest in the case. Investigators said there was no indication that he participated in the crime, and that he cooperated fully and helped them track down the missing 2-year-old.

Police found two bodies upon responding to Oaktree Drive at about 5:20 a.m. Sunday.

The victims have been identified as Vanessa Perez, 25, and her mother Evelyn Burgos, 40. Police said both were killed by gunshots, five of which were fired at the scene.

Police said Crowell was the boyfriend of Perez, while Rodriguez was the boyfriend of Burgos, and that this was the result of an "ongoing domestic dispute."

Not answered was how did he help them track down the toddler?

Even with the good news he was found safe...
I keep thinking this poor kid lost mom and grandma on one terrible night/morning.
I am also feeling bad for the young man falsely accused in all of this.

woah! that's just crazy talk. so sad that it came down to this. there had to have been another option rather than murder. :( RIP Vanessa & Evelyn. Prayers to you sweet Isaiah.

sbm

I'm guessing he told them who they were looking for, the vehicle they were looking for,
associates of the person they were looking for... etc.
He knew the suspect so was probably able to provide LE with information to find him. :twocents:

From August 2013:

http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com...ail-for-man-accused-in-ri-killings-abduction/

Burgos had broken off her relationship with Rodriguez, her brother, Alonzo Pichardo, told WJAR-TV.

"He couldn't comprehend that she didn't want to be with him," he said. "She was afraid. She told one of my other siblings that she was afraid."

Pichardo also said Rodriguez had what he called an obsession with Isaiah Perez, though he was not the boy's father. "He would tell everybody that Isaiah was his," Pichardo said.

From March 2014:

http://wpri.com/2014/03/13/2-life-sentences-for-man-in-double-murder/

The man charged with killing two women in Johnston and then kidnapping the toddler son of one of the victims changed his plea to guilty Thursday morning.

During his hearing at Providence Superior Court, Daniel Rodriguez was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences plus 50 years after pleading guilty to two counts of murder and a count of kidnapping...

After the hearing, prosecutor Stacy Veroni said Burgos was attempting to leave an abusive relationship... “We know from our investigation that she had broken it off with the defendant and had taken steps, by moving in with her daughter, to feel safe.”
