I know it is cliche about the husband... but how did he find the car, in another state, at a hotel... in the 1970’s we used to travel by car to family and we only ever stayed at Holiday Inn’s and most of the parking was not exactly visible from the street, it was all around the hotel so you could park as close as you could to the door as at that time it was usually 2 stories high, a square building with a few openings and the pool in the middle. The front was check in, and parking started on the sides, and there were usually bushes or objects around and the giant sign...
Smells... but I can’t find his name or if he is even alive.

There are some unanswered questions:
Was Lynda alone at Archie's Tavern?
Was she a regular there?
How did they know the caller was a man? Did she say that to the barman?
How did the caller know where to find her? Was he her husband, a friend or a lover?
How did Lynda leave the place? Did she have a car, someone gave her a ride or she walked?
Was the tavern near a familiar place for her?
Were Lynda and her husband happy?
