I live in ct its about an hour and a half to the border. I have fished both jamestown and fort Wetherill with my husband plenty of times there are areas that are hidden from plain sight where you could hide and not be found. there is also a small area where people climb rocks to get down to a small area of sand near water

could it be possible they fell in the water somehow jamestown is right before the pell bridge to newport from both jamestown and fort wetherill you can see the bridge

What a tragedy. I am so sorry for their parents and other family and friends.

This is an area with a rugged, rocky coastline, and very rough water. There are also steep, rocky areas that are swept by waves - easy to lose one's footing. Also, some of the rocks have marine growth on them, and are very slippery. I believe there have been other people swept to their deaths here as well.
