he was raised in a house of prostitution and yet made himself into a Star with his jokes. I know the last of his life was very hard but he was an extrodinary person. Very talented. I sure loved watching Richard Pryor.
He even made jokes about being on fire after the explosion when he was freebasing. Dang he was funny about everything.

My absolute all time favorite was Hear no evil, see no evil. I mean, there was NOTHING funnier than a deaf guy hearing a murder and the blind guy "seeing it".... he will be missed. I even liked him better than Eddie Murphy. Rest well funny man. :blowkiss:

Oh man, I loved that movie, the best of all of his, too! He will be missed.

Just last night my hubby and I were discussing one of Richard's stand-up acts where he portrays a pastor who accidentally drown some people being baptised. " I just held him under for a little while. I thought the bubbles were from the Holy Spirit," he joked.
Eddie Murphy can't touch the humor Richard brought to the stage and movies.
If you want to see a story of his life, see Jo-Jo Dancer. It was a very moving film.
We played some of his old tapes tonight and laughed till we cried. I was never offended by any of his salty language. He lived a hard life as a child and I always thought Richard had earned the right to make fun of blacks and whites living in the same world. Somehow he could say the word 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and not one freaked out.
There will never be another comic like him. Truly one of a kind. I will miss him but not forget him and his humor.

In spite of or in case of Richard Pryor was a great comedic faction in our country. He wasn't always politically correct and he sometimes took us down a notch but he always did this with humor. Because sometimes without it we are lost. He had his dark moments that caused us to laugh at our dark moments and helped us to go forward. This is a man that had faced lots of evils and still helped our souls. So, brother, may God be with you now and know that for every trial you endured thousands have had a smile on their face because of you.
