Right, shut your face and do as I tell you

Why is Fleet playing super sleuth? He is supposed to be looking for JBR and when finding a broken window he should have stopped and called for assistance. He suddenly turns into Sherlock Holmes. That is what isn't logical.
You don't shift your search for the child when you find evidence you note the evidence or even stop the search in that area till police get there. Let them look for broken glass or whatever might be considered clues. That is what I find illogical. I also stated that he was not prepared or trained to know what to do so the fact that he made poor choices is not evidence of guilt, just no experince or training in what to do.

I tend to agree somewhat on that, CathyR. I don't think it's evidence of guilt any more than it would be on the part of Arndt being "not prepared or trained to know what to do" or making "poor choices".

FW's own daughter had been missing once, and it turned out she was hiding. He said he thought JB might have been afraid, and been hiding somewhere. He just wanted to make sure.He had no reason to think the R's would turn on him at that point...he was just trying to help,as he thought the R's had called them for their support that morning.

I do agree with you...the same can be said for JR, though. Fleet, probably didn't think anything of moving that suitcase to look for glass (even though, he should have left that up to the experts)...and John...certainly should not have even touched JB's body, much less taken off the tape, untied her hands, removed her covers... and carried her upstairs!!! That was an even bigger no - no than Fleet looking for glass, and moving that suitcase. Fleet was looking for clues...as he had been told to do. John...well...if there really was in intruder (there wasn't, imo) ...was just stupid, when he picked up his daughter's dead body. Why not just yell for help!!! Because he had to contaminate the crime scene a little more.

I was always stunned by reading that ANYONE thought she was hiding. I mean, there was a ransom note. (bogus, but the point was she was NOT missing. She was supposed to be kidnapped). Unless FW believed JB had written the note before killing herself. And I doubt that he did.
I realize FW had a scare with his own daughter. But I bet it is safe to say FW did not find a ransom note in his house when his daughter was hiding.

I wonder why FW's daughter hid, the time she did?

IDK Deedee,I don't think anything bad about FW or the White's in general,I think he was just trying to help.I think they were all completely baffled as to what was really going on that morning, that is,everyone but the R's and their real friends and attorneys.

Kids do that sometimes. No reason really. Some kids do it. I was walking my dog this summer. I passed a house where a mom and dad were frantically calling for their young son, about 4 years old. In tears, the mom yelled to "call 911". By the time I came around the block, police were there and so was the kid. He had hidden in the next-door neighbor's car. No reason why, I am sure. He just hid. Then, when he heard his mom and dad so upset, was afraid to come out.

Good points, Ames! There is another one that always gets me going. John saying he took the tape off her mouth to do CPR. Can you believe that? She had already started to smell and that man doesn't realize she's dead? He sure can tell a whopper! It's sad that so many people believe them!

Saliva swabs from JB's mouth were taken at the autopsy. That would have shown JR's DNA in and on her mouth. None was reported. FW was right behind JR walking into that room. He would have had to see JR performing CPR if it happened. It never happened.
