My prayers go out to Mrs. Edwards. I hope Nancy Grace gets a chance to read this thread. What a dignified woman (compared to the other).

Bless, bless, bless, Mrs. Edwards.

Mel

ETA that I'm just dumbfounded that on Monday that she decided to stop treatment, and died on Tuesday. What a horrendous and evil disease Cancer is. Bless all that have it and are fighting the great fight.

I heard it on the radio just a while ago. So sad. Her battle is over. May she rest in peace and find a great reward waiting for her. I do hope she is finally reunited with her beloved son.

So sad. Hearing about her today prompted me to call and schedule my well over due mammo. I'm so sorry she had to leave this world knowing what a piece of crap her husband was. He didn't deserve her. I hope she is at peace now.

Elizabeth Edwards, in my opinion, was the epitomy of selfless class. Going through so much over the last few years, her marriage, children, and illness, this spectacular person never once lost what truly mattered to her. I admire how private she, as well as family, kept this as special and sad time for themselves for a peaceful passing. Anyone who has experienced this will understand where I'm coming from.

Godspeed.....

I rarely admire a person who is in the "limelight," but Elizabeth Edwards has always been an exception. She is the epitome of class, strength, and dignity. May she rest in peace and may her children find the strength to get through this.

Elizabeth Edwards was on the Nate Berkus show recently (I'm sure it was taped several months ago) and she seemed strong and talked about wanting to live until her son reaches eighteen. I was really rooting for her. She had opened a cute furniture/home decorating shop in North Carolina. She expressed how she priced the pieces within reason - just enough to make sense for her to have the shop. She wanted most people to have nice things available to them. It touched me to hear her say that.
When I heard on the news yesterday that her friends and family were gathered at her home I was surprised.

As many posters have expressed, Elizabeth seemed like a classy woman who showed people through example how to look on the bright side. I'm sad that she lost her battle before her dreams were fulfilled. Now she is reunited with her other son who was killed in a car accident years ago.

He's been there for the last few days that I've heard about.

It was where he had to be, not just for Elizabeth or himself, but for their children.

I just hope Elizabeths wishes of that mistress never entering her home again, comes true.
Hopefully she put her share in Cates name. (being over18 and trusts for the little ones)

So sad.....such a classy lady. :(
