A woman robbed of £9,000 in Santiago is suing the bank from which she'd just withdrawn the money.

Isabel Barros told Las Ultimas Noticias that while she was waiting for her money to clear, one of the cashiers shouted: "Who is the lady for the £9,000?"

She said: "It was this man's unsubtlety that drew attention to me. I don't know why I was so stupid to answer him when he asked who was the £9,000 lady. Plus he counted the money out loud so everyone could hear."

Mrs Barros said she was robbed by two men wearing suits right after leaving the bank and she's sure they were inside the bank and heard the cashier

Cass--

I have actually asked bank tellers to keep their voices down when counting out money to me. Why invite robbery? It should be (if not already) part of their training, I think.

I hate the way they count out the money....anyone in line can tell what you are getting. I like more private banks. Merchant windows are sometimes private.
