Just reading these posts from so many compassionate peeps, is making me cry. If only he knew...........

3 years ago in school my daughter had to do a report on a famous person from the state she had to research. She chose Robin Williams (Illinois was her state), and we have a model of a bottle doll of him sitting in our family room...

To know he gave so much happiness and laughter but was so sad on the inside is just horrible. He was the best!

I'd say my generation (80s) lost a piece of its childhood today, but I think most can say this. His career and movies influenced everyone of all ages.

RIP Robin Williams. You were a joy to watch.

How shocking! I can't recall a movie that he starred in where I wasn't impressed with his talent.

Apparently he was reprising his role of Teddy Roosevelt in a sequel of Night at the Museum that is being filmed, and was in post-production for a couple of other movies, according to IMDB. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000245/?ref_=nv_sr_2

Comedy Legend Robin Williams Found Dead at 63

By Maria Elena Fernandez

Comedian Robin Williams died Monday morning in his residence in Tiburon, California, according to his wife and publicist.

Williams, 63, was found in the home he shared with his wife shortly before noon (3 p.m. ET), the Marin County Sheriff's Office said.

"This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings," his wife, Susan Schneider, said in a statement. "I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

The comedian's publicist said he had been battling "severe depression of late." ...

Haven't figured out how to embed the video, so sorry.

What can you see on the horizon?
Why do the white doves call?
Across the sea, a pale moon rises,
The ships have come to carry you home....

I turned JVM on and found out that way. I called my brother and we are both just really shocked by this. I've gotten a lot of laughs from him over the years. He was in the same boat as Tom Hanks and Bill Murray. A guy who can make you gut laugh and can also do serious acting as well. There are very few people like Robin. R.I.P. Robin.

Williams was found unconscious and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the death, and an autopsy is forthcoming, but initial evidence points to "a suicide due to asphyxia," according to Marin Sheriff's Lt. Keith Boyd.

Unbelievable. Robin, you were one of a kind and will be remembered and sorely missed. :(

So sad. Everyone please keep mind any friends and family that suffer from deep depression. Depression destroys ones hope and the ones soul. Rest in Peace, Mr. Williams, rest in peace.
