No scratched-up furniture or legs or hands and arms. No mistaking feet moving underneath covers for an enemy to be annihilated. No posts that look like this:

And furthermore, I think.k3;lk23n4;k323ikuadsp7f-9d879;kj;kjjejiuiji

And no more 2:00 a.m. calls to friends and family who call right back and complain that "YOU" called them and would only "breathe funny" into the phone.

But no soft warm body to curl up beside you, no head butts when you are trying to read, no tapping paw and hopeful little face when you open a can of tuna, no chirrup 'good morning' when you shuffle towards the coffee maker in the early am, no more games of 'fetch the paper ball', no imaginary mouse hunts, and no loud purr to welcome you home when you open the door.

I really wish I could get a kitty.

I miss our kitty. We got her when she was six weeks old and had her until she died...two months shy of her 15th birthday. She really ruled things around here, hence her title of "Queen of the Kitty-Kitties," and everyone one/thing else, for that matter.
