Nope. I can't. Can you explain why Misty and Ronald are holding off talking to LE? Thanks.

Actually, I have tried to explain possible reasons, many times. You don't accept them as possibilities.

If Hank2 has some secret information about Ron, then I would think he would have spilled this to LE right after the big fight. Why would intimidation by Ron be necessary now? I think something is fishy about the rat story - don't know what. But it's hard to believe someone would pick midnight, which is not very late for a Saturday) on a brightly lit night, in an easily identifiable vehicle to leave a "warning" message. 4 am on a dark weekday night, maybe.

I would be moo that the intimidation from Ron would be for the up and coming court hearing for assault charges, so that Hank will think twice about pushing those charges.
I always found it odd that Misty's dad recanted on his statement about the prescription drugs thing and Ron, now I may be seeing clearer then before...:)
JMO.. of course

I most certainly DID NOT.

You actually did. You acknowledge that the news of the arrest (and the cause for the arrest, which was violence) would lend a logical mind to assume that Ronald Cummings anywhere near Hank2's house wouldn't be viewed as a kindness.

I surely wouldn't attempt to qualify what the neighbor knew about the arrest or animosity between the two men, nor would I assume she knew WHAT was placed in the mailbox. She never said she saw what it was. How on earth could she know whether it was something so horrific?

what are rons best qualities.....please just use whats been published.....everything except him being a loving dad...I believe he is......but what makes him such a pillar of the community to you.....why is he your martyr ......what has he accomplished in his 27 years
I think he's a good father, falsely accused of all kinds of things. I do feel sorry for him.

I think it is a great time for LE to bring Hank Jr. in for an another question and answer session about the night that Haleigh disappeared. Maybe Hank Jr. feels that he might need protection right now. Ron might think that since the family is feuding that some "family secrets" may be in jeopardy of exposure.
I would love for them to interrogate...er...interview Tommy about that night again. I would also recommend LDTs for him and his wife be given along with DNA tests taken to compare with any evidence the testing from the cement block and backdoor could show...if they ever test it, that is.

I'm w lonetraveler (remember in Godfather when Woltz awoke screaming beside the bloody head of his prized racehorse...) I think it shows RC will go to extreme lengths to threaten, intimidate and control. And I don't give a rat's behind if it's a headless horse or a headless rat, message is the same.

And God forbid a child opened the mailbox  Yes, RC if you did this, please stop, and consider the children.

I agree message is the same..
Now I'm really wondering how much the Croslins may know.. Considering the incidents that have occured in the past week I'm thinking Ron C knows or believes they may know quite alot..JMO

If Hank Jr. has information about RC being responsible for Haleigh's disappearance, wouldn't speaking to LE solve a few problems for him? If he tells LE, RC will be behind bars and Hank Jr. won't have to worry about RC coming after him, right? Seems to me that whatever Hank Jr. might know wouldn't result in RC being put safely behind bars or he'd be talking. JMO

The brother found it Saturday and the neighbor saw Ron in his truck Friday night.

That was pretty quick:

Thursday Night - Ron is arrested for felony assault and burglary

Friday Morning - His grandmother and wife bail Ron out

Friday Night - Ron's BIL's neighbor alleges that he/she saw Ron put something in BIL's mailbox

Saturday Morning/Afternoon - BIL allegedy finds dead, headless rat in the mailbox

Saturday Afternoon/Night - LE interview Ron about dead, headless rat

I can understand the need for speed in getting a message out to your BIL to keep his mouth shut. You wouldn't want the BIL to have time to spout off now, would you? Had to get the word out as soon as possible.

It sounds as if Ron is becoming rapidly unhinged. I wonder if Misty is getting worried about her own safety and the next call she makes wont be to her parents but to LE. I have a feeling that all hell is going to break loose and we might have the answer to what happened to Haleigh very soon.

(bbm) Which imo could be the reason her bro hasn't hightailed it on down to LE if he had any concern for, I dunno, maybe his sister's safety...??? Just wondering out loud...

I have asked before on the Haleigh thread, from the beginning, if anyone knows if the brother took LDT. We or I have not heard anything about a statement or any published info about LE's interview or "interrogation" of Misty's brother. If he hasn't been thoroughly questioned and investigated I would really be Pi**ed at LE. He could be involved in so many ways with Haleigh's disappearance and/or disposal. Again, the AC man appears to be the only adult cleared and I'm not even sure he has. I would think that all family members, Ron's, Crystal's and Misty's family were all investigated and hopefully had LDTs and DNA taken. It is very possible that Hank was asked to help in activities that night. Asked by who is a good question too.

No. I did not. What I was referring to is the sensationalism of the press in regards to the fight and everything that is being said about Ronald right now. The neighbor would have heard about it. She would also know that Misty took out a RO on her brother and know that there are major problems between the two families at the moment. I would assume she would take it into consideration. However, since she wasn't at all concerned...does this mean she would not suspect Ronald would do anything sinister?!

I don't think Ronald did anything or was responsible for this at all. I don't think he has harmed ANYONE.

I hope the do get the feds involved with this situation!! I want them to find out the truth about the rat in the mailbox...then maybe they can take over the case to find out the truth about Haleigh. This could be a blessing in disguise for Ronald.

I found a couple of articles from other media outlets and from the sound of it Hank C. will be pressing charges and if so then it will all become public record?
I wonder what his fear is? All I keep thinking about is the way Ron sounded in the 911 call and his statements about taking the trash out when it was time.

From the incident report:
"Hank stated that he knew Ronald owned several guns, and was afraid Ronald was going to show up and cause problems at the residence. Hank also said that he believed the headless rat found in the mail box was a sign from Ronald that he was going to kill him."
Ronald Cummings also did not want to talk about the incident, saying only "authorities will work things out."

Croslin told a deputy that he suspected Cummings put the rat in the mailbox because, during the dispute a week earlier, Cummings allegedly told Croslin he would get back at him.

Croslin also told deputies that he knew Cummings owned several guns and he was afraid the headless rat was a sign Cummings was going to kill him.
Croslin told deputies he wanted charges filed against Cummings.

The witness wrote that she saw Cummings driving his truck and saw him slow down in front of Croslin's house. Then, she said, he appeared to put something into the mailbox.

Not Necessarily So.. Especially if they know that Misty is involved also..
Could be they know their own van was involved too. Even if they weren't personally involved maybe they were involved with giving false statements originally to LE.
There are many reasons that could keep them from telling what they know...

I would hope they have spoke with him at length and if they havent ( don't pass out) , but I would agree as well. :)

Or, could Hank Jr. be trying not to incriminate himself by speaking to LE about Ron's involvement in Haleigh's disappearance? JMOO

If Hank is so frightened of Ron with his guns, why in the world did he show up there the other night, and risk his parent's lives by bringing them along, instead of calling LE?

This could be a blessing in disguise alright, for Haleigh... or if it's too late for her, for her baby brother Junior and even Misty... if nothing else maybe some anger management will be ordered?

But are you assuming he didn't help Misty in anyway that night? I think the rats are turning on each other. That is usually what happens over time.
