And he does choose. It isn't a natural patois. It is a word, a thought, a word, a thought, a word. No one naturally speaks by thinking of how each and every word will be interpreted. And interpreted they are, rightfully.

Exactly - the other night on Nancy Grace, he caught himself saying the wrong thing.

He said he wanted to make sure "whoever did this to her - er - is put away."

I already posted all the things I thought were wrong with this statement, but I just wanted to point out the hesitation. He knew he screwed up.

How about an arrest?

Morning Elle:)

I would love to see the guilty party arrested, but what I want most of all is justice for Haleigh and if they arrest the person that looks guilty instead of the person that is guilty I will have a broken heart. I just don't know what to think Bern, but I sure can't wait to hear what Crystal thinks of everything that has happened in the past month.

You know, my suspicion of Ron comes right from his words and actions.

Mostly, I've been on the fence about his involvement, more suspecting Misty's involvement.

The way he talks about the case is awkward - linguistically, not because of education.

Listen to his word choice.

I agree awake, his behavior and especially what he says to the media is beyond the pale and I can't reconcile or defend any of it.

But on the other hand, I don't see anything to directly implicates him at this time either.

So long story short, I too sit on the fence with RC. I will admit I have very little empathy or compassion for him with the exception that his daughter is missing and IMHO once Haleigh is found it's going to be an ugly reality for all of us and her family.

But make no mistake LOL. If and when anything comes out that proves he had any hand at all in what happened to Haleigh? I will have no reservations calling a spade a spade. Until then, I'll sit on the fence.

Because in the end, IMHO it's just doesn't matter what any of us think or theorize prior to Haleigh's truth being revealed , what matters is that this child is more than likely no longer with us and that in of itself is heartbreaking. So heartbreaking.

As I think of the reasons someone would marry under the circumstances, what are the choices?

1. He married her because there was talk of her being underage and Ron under FL had committed a crime.

2. He married her to keep her from talking.

3. He married her because he forced him too.

4. He married her because that is what Haleigh would have wanted.

5. He married her to keep her close and find out where Haleigh is and what happened.

6. He married her because he loves the dumb B**** that let his child get stole.

I am really up in the air on this one.

Well, being as LE has taken their time with this case, and no arrests for any crimes relating to Haleigh have occurred, I can almost assure you that when they DO arrest someone, it won't be the wrong person.

Well, it makes my theory totally wrong that he loved her...if he married her because he was not buying her story instead. However, I think maybe it is exactly what he did in order to find Haleigh. The pressure of the underage girlfriend may have played a role in it, but if he didn't believe her then it could make sense he felt like if he ditched her...he may never know what happened. IMO, he would have been right. If she didn't get what she wanted out of this then she could have moved with her parents and been gone without saying a darn word to anyone. At least this way he had her with him and left the chance open of her slipping or telling him the truth.

If it helps at all, I don't think this was murder, I think it was accidental and they or Ron was at fault; thus the lies and cover up.

no my friend, it wouldn't help. I would have accepted the accidental death theory so much easier if someone....anyone had told the truth. I understand people get frightened and make bad choices, but at what point do you lie and let the disappearance and possible death of your child be investigated for 6 months? Then allow the mother of this child that you love so dearly to be accused and implicated.

I understand what you are saying though Bern and you have held tight to that theory from the beginning and I am beginning to wonder if there might be any truth to it.

I agree, I have never thought murder. I think it was an accident, and Ron and Misty being young and stoopid freaked out, tried to cover it up and it has just snowballed from there.

I certainly do not think that Ron would intentionally kill his daughter. However, after learning about the fight between Ron and Misty and the three day drugs, sex and partying of Misty, I can assume that the tempers were definitely into play in that environment and the children were the witnesses. Haleigh could have been severely injured as a result of Ron in a rage, it doesn't take much to injure or even kill a little child. I have also thought about Misty calling Ron at work about disciplinary problems with Haleigh (Misty was most likely still hung over and dealing with the effects of the three day bender and couldn't put up with an unruly child). Ron may have told her to give Haleigh something to make her sleep. Misty may have done just that and Haleigh died as a result. Then again, all the stories of Misty either not being in the home that night or Misty entertaining someone that night are also all up in the air. All that said, I simply can not justify Ron marrying and totally supporting Misty throughout this entire case, even when confronted with her lies, unless Misty is helping to cover Ron's butt.

I would never be able to stand in the same room with someone that I thought was involved in the disappearance of my child. Why did everyone put out the statement that "this is what Haleigh would have wanted"? If Haleigh saw what Ronald thinks she saw then in my opinion we have a problem. Nothing makes sense.

I would rather live alone for the rest of my life with a clean conscience than live a lie for the rest of my life with the person that I felt was involved in my childs disappearance. I would give LE every piece of information that I had and remove the person that lied to me from my life. Misty left Ronald directly after Haleigh's disappearance, I remember that everyone wanted to know where Misty was and she was actually back home with her mom and dad. Ronald should have left her there and cooperated with Law Enforcement in any way possible to find Haleigh. he should not have allowed the person he believed in his heart to be responsible to come back into his and Juniors life.

I really would love to believe that Ronald is telling the truth. But this information should have come out months ago. Not, now when the heat is being turned up in the frying pan.

I would really like to know what happened last night with the phone records. (RC & LE)

Maybe I'm strange in how I would have dealt with Misty immediately following the receipt of the news from her that my daughter was missing. If I had any doubts at all or saw things in the mobile home that did not jive with her story, anything at all, I would have taken Misty on a little ride as soon as possible and believe me, she would have been too eager to tell the truth. I would find the biggest gator hole I could find and Misty could either tell the entire story truthfully or she would have to learn to walk on water. If you are going to interrogate, at least do it effectively. You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not, so I guess you are thinking that you are reading the post of a crazy person. That's OK, but we would be talking about my little girl at this point.

Lonetraveler ITA!!!! I was speaking to my father about this case, and all the drama surrounding it. He told me, basically the same thing, except the ocean was used and some bloody meat (shark bait) being placed right beside the person not telling the truth. And that is exactly what my father said was "we are talking about my little girl here"

So, i don't think you are crazy, i think it is effective interrogating.

Absolutely not a crazy person. I actually believed that RC was this type of person as well. I could actually see him trying to get the truth out of Misty in this way....But me, I would just call Misty on all her lies right there in front of LE. When she said, we slept in the bed....I would say....no you didn't cause the bed is still made. When she said I did a load of laundry....I would say, no you didn't cause we don't have any laundry soap. I mean....I really want to know the truth. Why are we hearing about all of this stuff now? No wonder Haleigh was never found. No-one was being honest and truthful with LE or the rest of the family.

I have found one very important thing to be true in life. people that are not forthcoming and honest are always hiding something, the question is what ?

From my first impression of Ron, I thought that he would have obtained the truth or confronted her too in the presence of LE, but when he didn't and then married her a month later, I was hit with the realization that Ron was most likely involved up to his eyeballs. Again, I believe that Ron is playing LE and Tim Miller at this point. I will be very surprised if he doesn't go full force and go to LE and put everything on Misty.

But wouldn't that be Ronald showing some restraint with his anger issues if even you would be inclined to do such a thing? So I guess him calling her a "b*tch" was mild in comparison to what your reaction would have been towards her at the time.

Not so fast. We don't know what LE has been told by Ronald or the rest of the family.

I know Tim just told Ron to put up or shut up.....see new thread.

Not so fast. We don't know what LE has been told by Ronald or the rest of the family.

We have not been told that RC thought Misty was having sex on the couch with an unnamed man up until now either. I think the tip would have been important to have back on February 9th.

We have been told that RC was marrying Misty, from his family, because it is what Haleigh would have wanted. That was a lie and mislead the public. I am sorry SS but Ronald is not a hero in my book for marrying the last person to see his child alive. He did it for a reason....was it to keep her close like he says? Who knows.....ya know, maybe it is time for RC to take all the tests that Misty took. She put herself out there, gotta give her that much. I want to hear LE tell me that Ronald passed his lie detector test that he took back in the beginning. I am just a poster here on this internet forum that is interested in representing the victim and their rights. I want the truth and I want to know why Misty is still living inside the house with the man that in my opinion, clearly never loved her. Nothing makes sense. I hope I am wrong and Ronald knows where Haleigh is....and that he had nothing to do with her going missing. I surely don't want to be right about the fact that Haleigh's father has been lying for months. I do have an opinion though and I will continue to post it.

ETA.....no SS we do not know what TN and RC and the rest of the family has told LE....but what we do know is that they all lie and that makes me not trust another word.
