I've seen those charges before...nothing new...they're somewhere early in the threads...came from an online database IIRC. Check county records. Hope that helps.

Yes he did. In addition, he and his mother and grandmother brought school supplies. I thought it was nice for them to do that and acknowledge what Marie and Crystal were doing for HaLeigh's classmates.

I think it's great, and I'm not surprised in the least. For them it's all about HaLeigh.

The charges are from 11/2004 almost a year before he filed for custody. They are not newly disclosed, they have been posted and discussed a million times, as well as Crystal bringing up his drug charges in the custody proceedings.

There is nothing in either of those articles that says that Ron or Misty have "that final piece." They haven't even cleared the Sheffield family and still have left open the possibility that it was a stranger abduction.

Ron went to court seeking custody because he thought he had heard something about Crystal doing drugs. Crystal told judge it had been about a year since she abused drugs and she was clean.

Yet he is awarded custody..Take a look at this.

He had just about made his last payment for his drug arrest. He had just gone to court in March and pleaded Nolo Contendere. He got off with a $360 fine and had 6 months to pay that...good grief!

Guess that just slipped RCs mind when he told the judge he was worried about CS and may be she could be doing drugs.

Ron just pleaded guilty to drugs 5 months before he took the children and 6 months before he filed for their custody.

Anyone care to comment?

Yes, I would care to comment. Does the information above, the fines, the nolo plea (whatever that means) indicate that Ron didn't contest this charge? If he was innocent, wouldn't he have done so instead of paying a fine?

When you say Ron just pleaded guilty to drugs 5 months before he took the children and 6 months before he filed for their custody., was that before or after the time Crystal said she stopped using drugs? Either way, is there a record anywhere of Crystal being arrested and/or paying a fine on drug charges? If there was, do you have a link? If there wasn't, did the judge not consider that in light of Ron's record? I'm confused here. IF Crystal has no record and Ron does, WHY would the judge give Ron custody? Is it usual to give child custody to someone who obviously has paid some fines on drug charges when the other parent has no drug record?

I was going to post this in Marie's thread, but since it's about Ron I will post here. It is being discussed that Marie is using Haleigh's name in the past tense. Well, here is Ron not long after Haleigh went missing that he also uses Haleigh's name in the past tense. I think it's normal on some instances to use a love ones name in the past tense, I think it all depends on the line of questioning and how distraught someone is. I know some feel it's a sign of guilt, but we really don't know with this case and many others.

Ron's answer regarding Haleigh being alive. He will believe Haleigh is alive until they find her. This was around Feb 22nd. YouTube - Ronald Cummings denies allegations of abuse

On that tape, he denies doing drugs, YET, we have at least one posting above where he DID PAY a FINE and I believe I've seen more like this somewhere. What's up with that? Is someone LYING?

Imagine getting fined, etc. for drugs, large amount for sale, a drug vehicle and a fine that could have been 5,000 or 5 yrs prison. A few months later you go to court and tell the judge you are worried about your children. He....er...thinks he may have heard CS did some while he had the kids on vacation, so he rushes to court to get custody. It's a darn shame they didn't have the records to bring that up in court.

He takes the kids away because he is worried about their exposure to drugs. He is still paying for his fine for drug possession during the time he iss asking for custody. Do I hear the word "Ironic".....

People only hear what they want to hear on that tape, I guess. I have watched it repeatedly and he did not deny past drug use.

To find Haleigh, it is a good idea to profile and see what we have. The more information we gain by their behavior, the easier it is to figure out what the person would have done with the missing child.

Except almost everything said to profile their "behavior" is wrong, imo, and is instead done to demonize them. If the first part is incorrect then finding Haleigh by going on those false assumptions isn't going to work.

Nope. I am not out to demonize Ronald's behavior at all and I do not think other people are either. What I see and read about him is real. I have believed from the moment of hearing the 911 tape that he and Misty knows what happened to Haleigh. JMO, MOO.

No one pulls negative things out of thin air to state against Ronald.

I will never understand how Ronald can do no wrong in some eyes. MOO.

It defies logic IMHO. I felt the same after hearing the 911 call and seeing his drop to the ground crying jag. I have no desire to demonize anyone....my desire is for truth and justice for HaLeigh Cummings.

IMO, those records should have been a part of that hearing.

And had they been a part of the hearing with a Judge without bias...those children would not have been in that MH on that evening...or any other probably....at least it would have made sense to rule for supervised visitation until drug treatment and counseling could be successfully completed.

If you were not there for the entire time of the event, you have no way of knowing that Crystal was not there. That would be a rumor.

I realize that this is the RC thread, but could you either provide a link to a direct statement by witnesses who were actually there at the event ALL DAY that Crystal did not show up, or if that is not available then, refrain from stating an unfounded ASSUMPTION as fact?
