Thank you debs, I don't recall you being one of the posters that believed Ronald's protesting was done for "show". I appreciate your answer though.

Then let me reassure you: I believe Ronald Cummings put on a show during that 911 call, and he attempts to continue the show even to this day.

noted, so you believe he was putting on a show while covering up an earlier injury he made to himself while in a fit of rage. Thanks.

I believe it's been said that Ron gets boils on the back of his neck on occasion.

I have a question for all of those that believe that Ronald Cummings is involved in his daughters disappearance. It is about the punching of the door incident when Ronald came home from work and discovered that Haleigh was gone.

If all his protesting was done for a show....or in hopes that the dispatcher was recording and all his statements would be frozen in time on a audiotape of the call, who exactly was Ronald showing off for when he punched the door, hard enough to cut and draw blood on several knuckles and require the placement of bandages over the wound? Seems a pretty extreme length to go to when no-one is looking at him, no camera rolling to catch the assault on the door, no-one to perform in front of. In my opinion the punching of the door was an act of desperation and extreme anger and frustration with his situation. He was alone in the trailer with Misty and why cause his own body harm if he was simply trying to "act" like a angry frustrated father? Actually following through and drawing blood and removing the skin from his knuckles was part of the act?

First I'd have to know that it really happened. Sorry but the family's track record for telling it like it is isn't so good that I take his word without questioning. I find the punching the door story a bit suspicious for a few reasons.

First, if you punch a solid flat object with no cutting surfaces, such as a door, with a fist, you're going to bruise your knuckles and hurt like he77 but it is more difficult to cut your hand bloody doing it. It wasn't a glass door, was it? Second, because there have been several stories circulating about the wounds. A poster who says he knows Ron claimed that he got the wound while manhandling his car. A second explanation was that he got the cuts while doing his landscaping job. (I don't remember the source though, might have been just a rumor.) Third, he also had a bandage on his neck in one of the early videos. Fourth, there were stories that he might have been in a fight with JO and perhaps some other persons as well.

If he really cut his hand punching a door there are a number of scenarios why it might have happened that need not have anything to do with showing off to the dispatcher.

IMO he didn't have to hope that the call was recorded, he knew.
If TN has been a dispatcher her family would know how it works, and he even said so in the call.

BBM - Since none of us were there, we don't know the exact reason Ron punched the door. Perhaps he was angry with Misty, or he may have been trying to kill a bug on the door. Without being there as an eye witness, it becomes only a guess as to why he struck the door. None of us saw it, none of us know for sure. JMO

Let me be clear: I do not think Ronald's injuries on his hand came from punching the door. I do think the door was punched at some point, but not in relation to the events of that night.

Those are rough cuts and scrapes. They are jagged and painful looking. Those came from putting your hand somewhere a hand doesn't typically go. Those look like Ronald should have been wearing gloves for whatever activity he found himself doing. But by no means do I believe they came from punching a door.

You are sure right about that. lol.

Donjeta, I myself wonder if it would be necessary for the door to have a rough surface in order to produce a scrape or cut, depending upon the force exerted, and if it was considerable, he could have opened the skin on his knuckles with the impact alone. JMO

Well, let's test the theory. Eveyone go punch a door with all their strength and see if their knuckles scrape and bleed.

So what, he punched a door. Frustration, anger, fear, helplessness, panic often result in people punching or throwing things - especially men. I think it is a quite normal reaction under the circumstances.

I have never questioned RC's innocence and I don't question or assume to know what his behavior should or should not be like during this horrendous ordeal. I feel so sorry for him, CS and their families. Their baby is GONE and they can't find her. How does one live through something like this? Pray for them all.

Well, one lived through it by getting multiple tattoos, married, traveling out of state several times, getting into fights and getting arrested, accused of lopping off the head of a rat and sticking it into the mailbox of his brother-in-law, and then going on vacation, getting divorced and going out of town again.

I will pass on that test Dots. My opinion is that he punched the door out of frustration. I will be forever grateful if I never have to walk in the shoes of one who has a missing child, or for that matter is dealing with the death of a loved one.

[snip]

Well .... in the spirit of this ..... I fell off an aluminum ladder this last week that failed, with a nail gun that shoots 3" nails in my hand and ended up crippled.

No broken bones luckily but grazes, scrapes, lots and lots of black/blue bruises, lumps, bumps, cuts, sprains and, a LOT of pain!!!!!

From this scientific test I can certify that if you bump skin hard enough against bone and a hard object it does split, scrape and bleed. :banghead:

Another one of those 9 lives spent.

And there is no indent on the door observable on camera. LE claimed there was a print (??)

Most doors and walls hit by men leave a hole or indent, for sure.

Crystal. Via Marie.

GRACE: We are taking your calls live. The family now relying on psychics as police comb through over 2,000 tips in the search for this little girl.

Back to Marie Griffis, the maternal grandmother of little Haleigh. Miss Griffis, a lot of viewers have asked about a band-aid that the father, Ronald Cummings, was wearing immediately after little Haleigh went missing. We`re showing it to you right now.

We have been told that that band-aid was not due to a cut, but due to a cyst that Mr. Cummings suffered. Is that true?

GRIFFIS: I have no idea. I know Crystal said he always gets cysts like that on the back of his neck. A lot of people associate it with steroids or drugs. I have no idea

She had to try and get in a dig. But Crystal said Ron always got cysts.

yeah, I got a hole in the wall of my hallway - Mr. Potato Head was upset trying to work with his cell phone company. I'm sending them the bill for the hole in the wall.

Maybe the dig Marie was going for was in retalliation for the one TN put out there about Crystal...don't know...TN also seems prone to making digs.

We still don't know if there was a boil. I am going to say that I think it was. I know people get them from steroids though...don't know about illegal drugs.

If he did hit the door it also could have been out of pure frustration. If my baby girl was missing I might even put my fist through a window. Anything to get rid of some of that frustration. In all honesty, I don't know how parents survive when their child is missing. You don't know who took them...what they are doing to them...where they are or if you will ever see them again. My imagination would drive me crazy. I don't know how they can stand it without destroying something on a daily basis.

When my daughter was murdered I wanted so badly to just walk outside and scream at the top of my lungs. I didn't though because I was afraid the neighbors would call the cops. A person really needs a release of some kind from all of the feelings/emotions that are making you feel like you could just explode.

Because somehow, Ron was doing something to make money, no evidence of any other jobs, didn't need support, and some may just think outside the box and think, hey, maybe Ron was doing something illegal that contributed to HaLeighs disappearance- Its called sleuthing-

It's called thinking the worst of someone that you don't care for. Just because we don't know how Ron was earning a living at one point doesn't mean that he was doing something illegal. Maybe we just don't know everything about Ron's life or what he was doing every day of the week every week of the year. I'm sure there are a lot that we don't know about each of the players in this situation. Just because we don't know every single thing about each one doesn't mean they must have been doing something wrong. All we know is what is in the news or on one of the shows. We aren't private investigators. We guess at most of the things we come up with...theorys, etc. We don't know the players or much about their lives.
