How can we find out if he owned that 4-wheeler in Feb. '09 and if he did, where was it stored? What I am thinking is it could have been used as a mode of transportation in proximity to the MH where Haleigh allegedly disappeared?

I am not trying to go round and round with anything. I am trying to establish a fact.

I don't recall LE ever hauling in a 4 wheeler for testing when Haleigh disappeared, if a neighbor thought they heard hollering that night one might think that a 4 wheeler would certainly rouse suspicion. JMO

Thank you both for those. I still don't see where it states that RC had a four wheeler that he called in and reported stolen. Did this call come across the scanner today, or when the Mondex was being drained?

Elle1919: In bold - from the above scanner call: signal 40 of a 4 wheeler the complainant being Ronald Cummings and he was irate with the operator taking the call.


I believe that is a code for a stolen vehicle of a 4 wheeler. Maybe someone else can clarify that for us? Anyone that knows scanner codes?

I dont know how to "prove" that the call did in fact come over the scanner (feel free to check the scanner thread, its all there) and I am not sure how to link to scanner calls. RC did report a 4wheeler stolen, that much Im sure of. Nevermind the rest, I cant provide a link, so it must not be relevant

I'm old and know absolutely nothing about 4 wheelers, but I do know that a very loud vehicle came into the neighborhood at around 1:30 in the morning on the night Ron C claims Haleigh was stole.
If 4 wheelers are loud, perhaps thats what the person who reported this to LE heard....JMO

We're all trying to establish a fact or two in this case. If there was a 4 - wheeler at the MH that mysterious night, it's possible whoever had access to it could have used it to do whatever. I'm just saying it's possible. Noise or no noise. Supposedly Hank Jr. was there banging on the door after driving over there but no one saw or heard that either. So, let's just keep an open mind long enough to consider that it's possible the 4-wheeler may have been used. If it wasn't even there then that blows that theory right out of the water. If it was there, then someone may have used it. Question is, who?

The scanner thread is in the parking lot, as Im sure you are well aware. It is a FACT that the call came in over the scanner, Tehcloser provided you with the transcript of the 911 call. I think you can open a thread on it if you like.

Actually no I wasn't aware there was a scanner thread since the RT was closed, I haven't been on in a few days. Today is really the first day I have been able to catch up.

I saw what Teh posted but I didn't see where it mentioned RC. I know many listen to the scanner, but I don't. Sorry for not understanding a scanner call, for those of you who always listen perhaps it is plain and simple but I truly was confused and asking a question.

I don't know what you mean about opening a thread on it.

Ronald Cumming's name is clearly in the transcript that twall provided. We have a couple of posters that can rewind on the scanner. The call took place yesterday morning. Now, it seems pretty clear to me. Ronald Cummings, the complainant.

When there is someting of interest on the scanner thread, pertaining to this case, and we want to discuss it further, we are supposed to come up here and open a thread for it as we did for Mr Croslins arrest. No one has opened one on the 4 wheeler, so maybe you'd like to. We didnt hear anything else except that he was irate with the dispatcher (PER LE) and he reported his 4 wheeler stolen. we were absorbed with the Washington state manhunt last night, so no one opened a thread about the 4 wheeler. I would assume if RC wants to be reimbursed, he will fill out a police report for the stolen 4 wheeler for insurance purposes, but I havent looked into that yet.

Thank you very much. As I said I don't read the scanner thread or listen, I tried it while the search at the Mondex was going on and it didn't go very well, and I gave up. I have much respect for those that go to the trouble of listening and deciphering the codes and everything else, it is all greek to me. Perhaps if someone did start a thread I wouldn't have been so confused. With all the jumbled posts about how much money RC makes and what he made last year, mingled in with the posts about the 4 wheeler, I got very confused. I didn't understand how someone who is so poor( as was stated yesterday) could afford a 4 wheeler.

Thanks Kelly, I keep thinking today is Monday due to the fact my granddaughter did not have to go back to school yesterday.. Today was their first day back after Thanksgiving holidays so I'm all confused as to what day it is...
