So when Tricia told those who were posting in the scanner threads, and it was reiterated by Kimster, to, should anyone hear anything on the scanner pertinent to this case, to bring it up here to the main threads for discussion....now we're supposed to back that up with a link to.......what? A scanner is a real time program, and unless you want to pay $15/month to get the rewind feature, you'll have to take it on the word of those who have paid for that feature.

The FACT is, it was reported that ronald Cummings reported his 4-wheeler stolen. Like it or not.

There should be a police report for this if Ron reported something stolen. JMO. :)

ETA: Has anyone tried to find one?
Yes, until we see a police report, it's all just unfounded heresay, imo.
How would this theft be tied to finding Haleigh or her disappearence?

The ONLY thing I'm really interested in knowing is when did he get a 4 wheeler.. Did he have one before Haleigh disappeared or did he purchase one after she disappeared...

I'm thinking the Mondex area was accessible from Green via a quad...and why would the Putnam County Dispatcher LIE about Ronald Cummings calling to report a theft :waitasec:

Curvecuti, based on this assumption, do you think all 911 calls are heresay? LOL It is a fact RC called to report a 4 wheeler stolen, and it is a fact someone else called 911 to report Ron driving around with a stolen 4 wheeler in his truck. It is a fact, if you believe LE, that RC was belligerent in his 911 call. It is a fact someone took Haleigh and it is also a fact that they needed a vehicle or a means of transportation to get her out of there. If the 4 wheeler in question is STOLEN, there may NOT be a police report KWIM???????????? That is worth sleuthing IMO

Just because there are things that are uncovered that dont fit a certian theory, doesnt make them any less true. I tend to believe a 911 dispatcher over just about anyone JMO

They even teach about courtroom testimony in dispatch training. Interesting stuff.

Could be tied in to Haleigh's disappearance, depending on how long he has had it... Also, he or someone he knows may have had access to that 4 wheeler that night..Where ever it was Haleigh was taken, I highly suspect it wasn't easily accessable by a regular vehicle.... JMO

I have always been curious about this....every since the whole dogs scenting to the railroad tracks thing. It is not uncommon for people to use the built up sides/berms of the railroad track as a loading ramp to put a 4 wheeler into a pickup that backs up to the berm. I still don't have a theory of how or why this fits into the whole scenario, just always thought it made more sense than someone "jumping a train with her".

Then this would fit into the RR track idea. If the 4 wheeler was used to get to Mondex, then they needed to get it out of there and away from the MH area before LE was later called, it would make sense to load it on a truck at the tracks. Then it could have been taken anywhere from there...to GGMS house or to any of the multiple addresses for TN or anywhere else. That would also make sense of the roundabout path through the neighborhood and the loud truck noises heard that night. Haleigh's scent could have stopped because her scent was on the 4 wheeler, and when it went onto the truck the scent was no longer strong enough to follow. Just thinking here about a whole new angle on things....jmoo.

Elle1919: In bold - from the above scanner call: signal 40 of a 4 wheeler the complainant being Ronald Cummings and he was irate with the operator taking the call.

I believe that is a code for a stolen vehicle of a 4 wheeler. Maybe someone else can clarify that for us? Anyone that knows scanner codes?

Signal 40 is theft as I clearly stated in my 6:56 am post #619 on this thread.

I tried to explain in laymen terms what happened. The following paragraph is from my original post from this morning:

There was info. flying around the net yesterday that RC had reported his 4-wheeler stolen Monday morning. No one heard the original call and there is a way to go back and listen to previous dispatches/LE radio communications. Grandmaj did this and her explanation of the communication is above. Signal 40 is theft. 10/13 is condition/status.
Seems like RC was not very nice to the dispatcher whose job is to HELP HIM.
Did he forget where he put his 4-wheeler?

The dispatcher states in the call to a LE officer involved with investigating the call that he/she talked to G. Sykes and things were all ok. This occured after Ron called to report the 4-wheeler stolen.
I have not looked at other sites yet to see if the 911 call or police report have been released. Usually TJ Hart or Al Harris does this-if it is not available anywhere yet I will e-mail TJ and ask him if he can get a hold of the call and/or police report and post it. It is a fact this did happen, as Kellync stated in her above post. I don't know how much more proof you need other than a LE dispatch recording. Does someone think this info. was made up?

I did bring the info. up here to be discussed as instructed to do by the mod of the scanner thread-I did not start a thread-I posted it in the thread I thought appropriate for the subject-Ron C.

Yes, you were very clear about what you posted but by the time I posted, I wasn't sure about the Signal 40, so I hesitated. Thank you for the reiteration. I am not one of those that is dismissing this report. I believe every word of it.

I'm not sure how all this fits into her disappearance, but I have always wondered if Haleigh did have an accident and Ron was at work, how did Misty move her body or who moved her body? Misty's LDT indicated she deception of knowing who took Haleigh, (42%). So I could not figure out how the cover up would take place if Misty didn't have a car or truck, Ron was at work, and Lisa and Tommy's van was in an accident. So I always thought the blue van was used that night, but I never thought about a 4 wheeler. I know they went to the Mondex but did they have a 4 wheeler that they would mud bog with? Lots of questions...

Lots of possibilities open up with this info.-- including Misty using the 4 wheeler to travel over to Mondex to party. Any number of types of accidents are then possible to have happened to Haleigh on the way there or back home that could have resulted in her being seriously injured.

Sorry, I did not mean to imply you did not believe the report or what I clarified-I was just bouncing off your post that you posted to the poster that couldn't find clarification that RC called 911 to report his 4-wheeler stolen which I clearly clarified in my original post-are you confused now? I am-lol!

BBM.. Why does that make sense.. As I have already stated I don't know nutin about 4 wheelers... Also, anyone remember what time the train comes through there and if it passes by the same time every night?

I seem to remember talk on the radio transmissions on the night that Haleigh went missing mentioning the tracks near Haleigh's home and I think the train had gone through that evening, but I'm not sure, I do remember them discussing it though because it was very soon after the 911 call and it wasn't known if Haleigh had possibly left the trailer on her own and might be in danger of the approaching train.

While looking for article's on the players in this case and four wheelers, I came across a quote from Marie G.

Link: http://jacksonville.com/news/metro/crime/2009-02-10/story/putnam_issues_missing_child_alert

snip~Marie Griffis said her daughter and Cummings have not been together for about three years but were not at odds. She said Haleigh visited them in Baker County every other weekend. Her daughter and Cummings have a 3-year-old son, Ronald Jr., who was taken to other relatives Tuesday.

“She loves her makeup,” Griffis said of her missing granddaughter. She said except for a chance to ride a four-wheeler, Haleigh was not an outdoor girl.~ end

Was just trying to lighten things up a bit.........Elle, that's all.

We're all trying to establish a fact or two in this case. If there was a 4 - wheeler at the MH that mysterious night, it's possible whoever had access to it could have used it to do whatever. I'm just saying it's possible. Noise or no noise. Supposedly Hank Jr. was there banging on the door after driving over there but no one saw or heard that either. So, let's just keep an open mind long enough to consider that it's possible the 4-wheeler may have been used. If it wasn't even there then that blows that theory right out of the water. If it was there, then someone may have used it. Question is, who?[/QUOTE]

I read the scanner report and that's that. The part bolded by me. IMO, if the 4-wheeler wasn't there, it doesn't blow the theory right out of the water. If a 4-wheeler was used to transport a deceased person then the 4-wheeler could have been stored at someone else's place just in case the dogs (either scent or cadaver) picked up Haleigh's scent. 4-wheelers have keys. Where the key was stored is a good question, IMO.

Didn't the scent dogs go west from the house to the water & then up north towards Buchanan/Tyler?
