Didn't the scent dogs go west from the house to the water & then up north towards Buchanan/Tyler?

Yes, and made a loop around Buchanan Circle too I believe...

And they say the "scanners" suck...:innocent:

Who said that??????? I'm trying to catch up as usual. I had the nerve to go Christmas shopping this afternoon..............so if I post something off the wall it is out of ignorance. BTW, I remember early in the case something about Ron having a 4-wheeler. This is nothing unusual in the country. Just about every country boy and a lot of girls have one here. Used for hunting and for recreation.

Was just trying to lighten things up a bit.........Elle, that's all.

We're all trying to establish a fact or two in this case. If there was a 4 - wheeler at the MH that mysterious night, it's possible whoever had access to it could have used it to do whatever. I'm just saying it's possible. Noise or no noise. Supposedly Hank Jr. was there banging on the door after driving over there but no one saw or heard that either. So, let's just keep an open mind long enough to consider that it's possible the 4-wheeler may have been used. If it wasn't even there then that blows that theory right out of the water. If it was there, then someone may have used it. Question is, who?[/QUOTE]

I read the scanner report and that's that. The part bolded by me. IMO, if the 4-wheeler wasn't there, it doesn't blow the theory right out of the water. If a 4-wheeler was used to transport a deceased person then the 4-wheeler could have been stored at someone else's place just in case the dogs (either scent or cadaver) picked up Haleigh's scent. 4-wheelers have keys. Where the key was stored is a good question, IMO.

BBm...I totally agree..

Lonetraveler, I was commenting on the people at other sites who like to pick on the scanner thread. Its funny, but you can catch something on the players in this case and their friends weekly by listening.

OK, thanks. I've caught up. You are so right. Either the Croslins or the Cummings are regulars on the scanner. I bet LE are totally sick of them. Just wanted to add that I appreciate the Scanner Skeeters for all their dedication and time just to keep us up with the latest. It is not an easy job.

Signal 40 is theft as I clearly stated in my 6:56 am post #619 on this thread.

I tried to explain in laymen terms what happened. The following paragraph is from my original post from this morning:

There was info. flying around the net yesterday that RC had reported his 4-wheeler stolen Monday morning. No one heard the original call and there is a way to go back and listen to previous dispatches/LE radio communications. Grandmaj did this and her explanation of the communication is above. Signal 40 is theft. 10/13 is condition/status.
Seems like RC was not very nice to the dispatcher whose job is to HELP HIM.
Did he forget where he put his 4-wheeler?

The dispatcher states in the call to a LE officer involved with investigating the call that he/she talked to G. Sykes and things were all ok. This occured after Ron called to report the 4-wheeler stolen.
I have not looked at other sites yet to see if the 911 call or police report have been released. Usually TJ Hart or Al Harris does this-if it is not available anywhere yet I will e-mail TJ and ask him if he can get a hold of the call and/or police report and post it. It is a fact this did happen, as Kellync stated in her above post. I don't know how much more proof you need other than a LE dispatch recording. Does someone think this info. was made up?

I did bring the info. up here to be discussed as instructed to do by the mod of the scanner thread-I did not start a thread-I posted it in the thread I thought appropriate for the subject-Ron C.

You explained the post very well, even for a laymen like me. The problem is that many were posting about Ronald and a four wheeler on the current page of this thread and I was asking only for clarification purposes about it because it was the first I had heard of it. Your original post was on page 25 of this thread and I guess, rather than ask an honest question next time I will just keep mum and go read three or four pages back so I don't appear to be dismissive or argumentative.

Once kellync was kind enough to explain, and after going back a few pages to read, I understood how the whole four wheeler discussion got started.

Someone mentioned this to me earlier:

Was a 4wheeler listed in the divorce paperwork as property? If not, Ron did not own the 4wheeler at that time, IMO. A 4wheeler is real property and should have been listed in the divorce settlement.

I did not see one listed.

Did not think of that, thanks for bringing it up. I do not see one listed as property in the divorce documents either. IMO, there still seems to be an concerted agenda to twist anything that happens to cast RC in the worst light. A stolen 4 wheeler, that may not even be his, or if it is, it was acquired since the divorce, has nothing to do w/ Haleigh's disappearance, imo.

Ronald Cummings called yesterday morning to report HIS 4-wheeler stolen. No one is twisting that in any fashion at all. If he had none listsed as real property in the divorce, then one can assume it was a recent acquisition.

Others recall quotes from family members discussing how Haleigh enjoyed riding a 4-wheeler. Why is it then twisting to speculate whether there was a 4-wheeler available near the MH the night of her disappearance, and where has it been since?

Why is it twisting to ask where does he get the funds to afford a 4-wheeler, given he has no job, and according to his family (and a number of posters here) he just isn't able to work, and probably couldn't be hired in the first place given the high profile of this case.

It is most likely he doesn't have to work with the money coming in and all his donations and now he is starting a fund...

.....he will blow through the money quickly....just watch.

  • #711
You can be sure rc has bought many new toys. I have not seen the divorce documents buy i am willing to say if he had anything worth money or new, it is in gmas or mommys name.

  • #712
He's still collecting child support for Haleigh, right? That will continue till the age of 18 if t
hey don't find her. The Cummings family INSIST she is alive. A decent man would let CS off the hook. Decent does not compute in his picture though.

Hi! Whisperer!

  • #714
OOH-boy...do we get to hear rc being irate wih the dispatcher again?.....lol..can't wait to hear it. Bet he didn't hang up and have better people to talk to about his toy.

...................Hi Kelly!

  • #715
That man/child has some misplaced anger....for sure.

.....So was the the toy at gma's when it was taken? don't recall seeing one there at Haleigh's b'day..

Three vehicles and a 4 wheeler....ooh-hoo..yeah he's a poor boy, alright!

I really don't think that this divorce settlement was akin to Donald and Ivana's IYKWIM--I think the idea was to be quick and not THAT specific and for all we know, if Misty didn't want one of the vehicles--she probably didn't want a quad either....I mean I am not surprised it wasn't listed....JMO....:)

  • #717
Females probably know better when they leave rc. Get in and get out quick.....take nothing.

Maybe one thought or had reason to rectify that mistake by taking HaLeigh and hang Misty while they where at it.

I say lock up all the women in Rons life past and present together and I bet we would find out the whole truth.

Why only Haleigh? How could it have gone on this long with no hint, no clue?
