Confusion and anger often cause suspicion. Especially when it is ongoing and you are trying to solve a mystery. We have seen that happen here countless times.

The reaction of the maternal family is understandable if they are honestly perplexed and worried about Haleigh. Especially if they do not know the whole story surrounding the night Haleigh disappeared. You go through shock, then anger.

Ron, on the other hand, flipped out the night he found out Haleigh was missing- and in my opinion, showed his true colors. Again, understandable reaction to your child being missing.

But if I were him, I would be just as angry and accusatory as the mother's family has been. I would be screaming and naming anyone I thought could have taken her.

Not once has Ron made an accusation that Crystal or her family were involved. Yet people here have speculated that ad nauseam here.

What does that tell me? It tells me that Ron knows that Haleigh's mother was not involved.

What does his calmness and quiet tell me? That he is being quiet because he knows what kind of people may have taken her.

Or he is acting like a mature adult and not slinging the mud. And honestly how do you know he hasnt said something to LE about Crystal maybe being involved. We have no clue whether he did or didnt. Going on national TV and unloading your dirty laundry doesn't prove anything IMO. It says alot that he didn't stoop to that level IMO.

I was in Satsuma yesterday and the first tent I saw was bio-mom's. She was not there and it had a party atmosphere. I asked where RC's tent was and I was directed down the street which was about a 5 min walk. RC's grandmother and TN were there and RC was sleeping. I spoke with TN for about 30 mins and during that time RC did come out for a moment and said hi and went back inside. I gave TN a donation for RC and Jr. He was so sad looking. He looks like he has lost so much weight since I saw him on the 13th.
It was a somber feeling.

I walked back to my car, which was parked near bio-mom's tent, and she was there with more people and she was on the phone walking around so I did not want to interrupt her..........there was a lot more people there and the "Party" atmosphere was greater...a lot of laughing, etc. I know people act different I am just reporting what I observed and am not judging anyone.

Thanks for the first hand account, Chesterp! I am not surprised. Ronald's family has reacted to this exactly like I would expect and the other camp...well...what can I say? Their actions and words speak very loudly.

Did you notice more LE presence around Ronald's camp? I think LE has been trying to shield them from the press and others out of respect especially after the ambush from Geraldo.

I hope you let Ronald's family know they have supporters across the country.

The change in Ron's attitude and demeanor from the 911 call and the first interview(s) tell me one thing. SOMEONE has told him to "shut up".....now, whether that is an attorney, or strong words from LE, or from some kind of bad guys...who knows? I tend to go with an attorney. People with this kind of criminal history that permeates the entire family know lawyers and have worked with them repeatedly. Could be public defenders, pro bono work or a paid attorney, but someone has told him he had better ease up for his own benefit and hopefully for Haleigh's, too!

I am glad to know they are back to follow up. I would imagine as difficult as it is for the family, it is equally a relief to see them doing something. I think they are preparing for the worst, but are still hoping and praying for the best.

About an hour ago I saw it take off and head west toward Palatka/Satsuma.

My county did assist in the searches last week- they sent 16 officers over. I wonder if the chopper was dispatched to assist?

I doubt that. That 911 call wasnt attitude it was fear and angry that his child was missing. People say alot of things in the heat of the moment.Just because he isnt on GR slinging the mud with Crystal doesnt mean he's been told to shut up. I think Crystal and her family should follow suit. Its one thing to plead for your child return and another to throw mug every chance they get. Its about their daughter missing not about what happen between them.

I am with you on your point of view as to RC and his family. IMO RC not slinging mudd and or accusations at his ex and family, etc. is because he is leaving the investigstive work to LE on who is or is not involved. He is trying his best to keep the focus where it belongs-on his beautiful daughter Haleigh.

IMO it was absolutely pathetic and disrespectful for GR to ambush RC and his family that way. Shame shame! It is also jmho that if bio mom had all of these concerns regarding RC she should have taken it to LE and addressed in that manner rather than the media. To me it all seemed quite insincere. It also seems more than odd to me that little RJ tells bio-mom and her family the story of the "man dressed in black" almost 2 weeks out yet he never happenes to mention to his dad?! I do not buy it for a minute. Pretty hinky.

As for the copter- I don't know if they might observe a search from the air- I don't think Putnam has it's own helicopter. When I heard the dispatches after the initial 911 call that reported Haleigh missing I noticed that one of the investigators instructed the dispatcher to contact Volusia or St. John's county and ask for their helicopter to be sent up.

It wouldn't surprise me if they observe from above to see where the dogs are and what kind of action is happening.

There is alot of reciprocity with the copters here as well- if ours is in use and another is needed, other counties send theirs and vice versa.

Yes I did, and to all the folks who think I was judging BIO-MOM tent I was not. I was reporting what I saw. I did not get an opportunity to speak with her because she was not there at first and when I got back she was on the phone.

There was no LE anywhere around any of the tents............
