Ron Cummings Jail House Iterview Bible Studies

  • #21
Hi everyone. Long time reader and agree with most on here. I'm new to posting. I always thought Ron was guilty from the first time I saw him fall down crying. Big theatrics. To my understanding Ron did not ask for the Bible, he said "it was the only book available". So much for his Bible studies, if something else had been available he would have never chosen the Bible. It was not his choice.

Interestingly, the Psalms are designed to take Man through the turmoil Man makes in his life into a spiral, where through the salvation of the Lord, Man comes out the other side, renewed in Faith, Hope, and Love for the Lord to live a better life.

I see Ron's got that first part down. I do hope that he makes it to the other side.

I suggest he pay heed to this one...Philippians 2:12

"Work Out Your OWN Salvation With Trembling and Fear"..

The talk about the bible seemed so staged with Dana, Ron laughs at first when Dana ask him about the bible study then he tries to be so nonchalant throwing out the verses. Phony as the cliche he uses, I've been going to church since I was knee high to a grasshopper.

Bible study and quoting versus doesn't mean much if you don't believe and don't live accordingly. Lots of folks can quote the bible, living it is another story entirely.

If he had been reading the Bible instead of out selling controlled substances, he wouldn't be where he is now.

Well you took the words right out of my mouth. Why is it when people go to jail/prison they get "jail house religion"?

Exactly! There are many people who can cite chapter and verse yet live their own life as hypocrites. A current example is Tammi from the Baby Gabriel case spouting religion yet acting criminally.

Ron is too concerned about his own self image and how he wants to portray himself rather than any Justice for HaLeigh.

Tell all you know Ron. Where is HaLeigh?

I am beginning to think maybe going to jail was the best thing that could have happened for everyone involved here. Ron is off the streets, he can't or will not be able to find another young girl to get "involved" with. This means he will not be fathering more children that he really doesn't want. They probably would not admit it, but after the shock wears off even GGS and TN will be able to finally relax without LE calling to say what happened now...The very best thing is that Ron can read the Bible, and try to figure out how he fits into God's plan. This is truly the best thing I'ver heard in a year!

Amen charlie. An act of genuine submission is a difficult (tho not impossible) one for any who have learned to respond to adversity by being willful and toughening and steeling themselves more. It is my experience that those who have suffered extreme abuse in their past eg are often incapable of the trust required for surrender. And for the person who hardens their heart vs being broken, who is more concerned w appearing righteous than in becoming righthearted, even religion becomes simply another weapon in their arsenal.

All I know is that a genuine encounter or Road to Damascus experience would translate to more than sympathy for one's self--but rather empathy for others.

“And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8

It's not that deep Ron. Just do the right, the merciful, the humble thing.

I wish someone would point him to scriptures explaining that God loves all of his children-even him, & will forgive all sins if certain steps are taken to gain that forgiveness .
