I find it ironic that she says that this wedding is all about waiting for Haleigh when they don't seem to be willing to wait for the wedding to be held when Haleigh's fate is known.

On the other hand, I understand the family, sort of. It's been a month now and the probability of having her return home safe and sound is diminishing. If there is a wedding to be held, in the ideal world it would be after she's been found happy and well nourished. But if the world is less than ideal and the options were to arrange it while there is still some hope left that she could be alive and well somewhere or after it is discovered that she suffered a horrible death in the hands of some nasty creep, the former would probably be a slightly happier occasion. Most family members look very beat up, sad and worn out by now, and all the waiting and fear has taken a toll, but one can only imagine how they would fare if the LE found that she had some terrible fate. It might be a long time after anyone could think of a wedding after that.

Respectfully, I have to disagree with this bolded statement. Misty will not have to have Ron's permission, she is legally Haleighs step mom once they are married.. by allowing her to get married, her parents have emancipated her...
My husband doesn't have to get my permission to check his step daughter out of school etc.

Thats right. My husband took step sons to the ER, Doctor, and signed them out of school in FL, GA and IN

Ah, maybe it varies from state to state then. :)

I'm divorced and re-married. I have sole custody of my kids. I am the only one allowed to check the kids out, unless I state who has my permission. I have to fill out a card naming Stepdad and Grandma, and their I.D.s will be checked in the school office each time.

Not a chance in he**.

With Ron's written permission Misty'd be able to check the kids out of school and such,

:eek:check her out of school?? She has to get her to school 1st....wasnt there some discussion that she missed alot of school?

Misty is actually fulfilling the wishes of Haleigh

Give me a break!

“I believe that the one she’s going to wear is going to be white…strapless, with ties in the back.”

Why do we CARE!??

She hopes to have a bigger ceremony once Haleigh is returned home.

Do they know something WE don't? :waitasec:

“It’s just basically something for Haleigh…"

Basically? UGH!

"I think it’s going to be the bride, the I-Do’s…and just wait for Haleigh.”

WAIT for Haleigh? Just sit back ... and wait for her to walk on home? :furious:

I don’t know if they've done a best man, or a bridesmaid,

Well gosh, they SHOULD have thought of that! :bang:

Ronald’s mother did tell us we would be welcome to wait outside for them to come out.

Well gosh darn it ... I sure do wanna welcome them ... don't you? :furious:

JMO ... MOO ... and all that good stuff.

I wonder if the wedding will be interrupted by LE or a family member

 It just gets better and better doesn't it? There is absolutely NO reason that I can think of for them to get married this quickly while Haleigh is still missing. It makes me quite sick actually and mad. Poor Haleigh. If they are doing this because Haleigh wanted it like they say, then why the h#ll aren't they waiting for her to return home? :furious:

I'm guessing the ever-so-handy pastor will drop the "Does anyone know of any reason why these two should not wed" question.

And, I'm willing to bet that Misty promises to "obey".

Same here. We live in a village of less than 3,000 people. Our school (yes,1) is very strict about that. My sons are grown now, but they have always been safety conscious. I am glad for that.

I am sure that in a community that size that they do have surveillance in places. I am confident LE has covered all bases and they do know what is going on. They may be southern boys, but I'd be willing to bet some BBQ that they know quite a bit. JMO, of course...

"Cameras will not be allowed inside the church where Misty and Ronald will wed. Ronald’s mother did tell us we would be welcome to wait outside for them to come out."

Someone will be taking pictures in the church and they will be up for bids...wait and see Another money making scheme maybe to pay for furniture for the new house IMO

They actually said their pictures would be up for bids? Why would they sell their picture if they invited the press to be outside after the ceremony?

I can. Crystal just hired a lawyer to take Rj away from Ronald. It would be exactly what another lawyer on his side would advise him to do...proceed with prior plans to go ahead with marrying Misty. If Crystal were going to use cohabitating with Misty against him...it resolves the issue. I would say Rj is worth it and Ronald needs to do whatever he can to protect his son even if it means looking like he is doing something sinister or wrong to the outside world. He is putting his children first...again.

I took that part of CONNIEHU's post as her remark, not a statement from the media.

Well, in my opinion, they should just get married and quit saying, "It's what Haleigh wanted." Just do it, and stop talking about the 2 dresses Misty picked out. Give me a break. It looks bad to me. MOO.
