Ron's possible plea deal?

What do you think it means that they've got different courtdates for the next time and Ronald's is earlier? Ronald in May and Misty in June. Does it mean anything?

I'm finding it difficult to believe that Ron would admit to anything. I may be wrong but Ron has skated so many times I find it hard to believe he could admit to being guilty.

I agree, IMO I don't think he will ever admit to any wrong doing. The way I see this going is maybe Ron will snitch on another drug dealer. Maybe someone way up that LE has been trying to catch.
Or, he is using the "I did it to be closer to Misty to try and find out information on my missing daughter". Even though most would not buy into that, some will. It seems Ron has gotten away with a lot in the past and may be one of those people that knows how to work the system and will continue to do so every-time he gets in trouble.
TN made a comment yesterday about how Ron was so depressed over Haleigh. Could be that is the route he is taking. He feels he is not guilty of the charges because he was doing his own investigation following Misty to try and find Haleigh. Sounds kind of like Casey going bar hoping and partying to find Caylee. I for one don't buy his claims of staying close to Misty to help find Haleigh though.

Haleigh's relatives in court

When asked how Cummings was handling everything, she replied that he is having a "very hard time right now."

"He is fighting a lot of depression - he thought Haleigh would be home by now," Teresa Neves said.

IMO, Ron is going to turn on other drug users/dealers and that's what the judge meant by "cooperating." Nothing new there with this guy.

It's our mother's intuition. I know I wouldn't feel comfortable if he were with my daughter. Men are so often accused of being dead beat dads, & of molesting, beating, & murdering little girls, that we want to believe if given the chance, a good man would make a good single parent. Dads are usually given the shaft by the courts, so I understand why men would rally around a grieving dad, but I believe they've picked the wrong poster boy, in Ronald Cummings.

Good Morning Dodie, I have to respectfully disagree on the portion of your post that I have bolded. With all due respect who has named Ronald Cummings a poster boy? Tim Miller certainly has done nothing of the sort and I am sure he has no wish to be misunderstood about that point.

There is a thousand miles between believing someone has no knowledge of what happened to Haleigh and making someone a "poster boy" for fatherhood. With exception of course of Teresa N and Annette S there isn't anyone that has raised Ronald Cummings up as a poster boy for fatherhood. I won't discuss Nancy Grace because I am not sure that I have faith in her reporting or opinions on this case. But, for sure, I am certain that Tim Miller was not making RC a poster boy for anything. He simply stated that he doesn't believe RC is involved, and that is that.

Maybe he is going to tell where they were getting the drugs and what he knows about drugs and dealers in the area....

He will also probally testify against Misty at her hearing among others for lessor time, Misty is in for a big surprise...jmo

POSTER BOY - I didn't see that one coming. You have quiet a sense of humor dodie.

ITA mysticrose!

In a way, i kinda hope Ron testifies against Misty, and MAYBE just MAYBE Misty might wake up and smell the roses, and spill what she knows, the truth this time, and i know that is really asking for something special, but my fingers are crossed

Mysticrose, you never know with Ron. I just don't see Ron testifying against Misty if she has information on him that could possibly send him away for the rest of his life. If Ron does testify against Misty Oh Boy! I believe the mess will definitely hit the fan. That will be the straw that breaks Misty's back. Ron don't want that.jmo

I was wondering if they saw each other today .....

He's going to rat her out even if she is not the one behind it all because I fully believe Ron is the one behind it all. Misty is screwed because she is the one who shows up on all the tapes as the main dealer. They are all going to turn on her. I can only hope that it causes all He** to break loose...

Speak now or forever hold your peace ...

I think Ron is involved, but I think Misty was as well. I think she hated Haleigh and I think she is equally as culpable as Ronald, which is why she hasn't spilled the beans.

Levi, do you find it strange that last time Tommy was locked up, LE drained the Mondex and now he is back behind bars, LE is searching The StJohns river? Coincidence? Do you think Tommy is talking?

I too think that Ron is involved probably more than Misty. jmo

Excellent observation! Could be true. We know he likes to talk.

I don't think Tommy is involved, but I think he might KNOW something. Maybe Misty told him something, maybe he has dirt on Ron, which could explain Ronald fighting him, putting a headless rat in the mailbox etc...

I do not think Tommy knows anything. Missy has turned on him several times. She keeps throwing him under the bus and running over him. I would think he would be upset about that. If he knew anything he would be talking.

Bingo - rat city is Ron's game. One most likely employed in the past and one he would have no qualms about employing now in hopes of reducing his sentence. Sooner or later though, someone is going to take exception and will confront him...or dump him.

I wanna see Mr. Tough Guy sprawled out on the courtroom floor bawling and whining like a baby, with boogers streaming out of his nose begging the judge for a plea deal. ACT II. No plea deal for you!
No talk, no walk. I hope the judge sticks it to him. :crossfingers:

In Hope Sykes convo. with her mom she said Ron told her they offered him 25 years. Maybe that is all this is about.

The poster has NOT mentioned Tim M at all. Why have you?

I did not get that they were referring to anyone in particular.

By then it would be too late. Prosecutors are the ones offering a plea deal, and that would already be taken care of before he goes to court. The judge will know about it, of course... and will consider it when sentencing. That's the way I understand it anyway.

I read along from the beginning of this thread and the response I commented on came after a discussion about Tim Miller stating that he didn't think that Ronald C knew anything or had anything to do with Haleigh's disappearance. In another post she described how sometimes men "rally around other men" I did not quote the poster's multiple posts, rather just the one that mentioned RC being someone's POSTER BOY. Tim Miller never raised Ronald Cummings up as a man or person who is father of the year, or poster boy material in my opinion. He merely stated that IN HIS OPINION Ronald has no knowledge of what happened to Haleigh. I think sometimes when people speak out and say "I don't think Ronald had anything to do with Haleigh's disappearance," they are labeled as a "Ron" follower or a " Ron supporter" But, I don't think that is a fair label or assessment. Clearly his mother and grandmother support him, perhaps they think that's their job. But, I have never been of the opinion that Tim Miller supports him, or his lifestyle. Neither do I. He is jailed on drug trafficking charges. There are so many things he could have been doing to help find Haleigh in this past year besides selling drugs. It is clear that RC is not a poster boy for fatherhood, I have serious doubts that Tim Miller believes as such either. That is what I was responding too.

I did not get that they were referring to anyone in particular.

My response above in purple. What we each get from reading the threads and posts can be completely different, how we feel about what we read is allowed to be completely different. I apologize to Dodie 100% if I misunderstood the point she was trying to make, or if she was being humorous about a comment Tim Miller made. I didn't see the humor in it and I honestly didn't think she meant to be funny. Again, if I misunderstood I apologize Dodie20. :truce:
