My personal favorite quote regarding Ms. Bolin is:

"Sure, Martinez said, Bolin had been a drifter, a carnival worker, a long-distance trucker, had dealt in drugs and had pleaded guilty to a vicious gunpoint rape in 1988. But "my Oscar," as she called him, was no killer."

Wow. I guess she is pretty good at mitigating.

She's a pathetic excuse for a human being. Just like her client.

Let me be sure I'm clear on this:

Someone who dumped her husband, children, and home to marry an individual on Florida's death row for the brutal rapes and murders of three women, has been brought on board to make Casey Anthony look better?

:shocked2: I know, unbelievable.

Birds of a feather and all that jazz...

It appears that those involved with ICA's defense have low level integrity, morals and values...I do hope jurors will rise above it all and see the real truth and the totality of all the evidence...for then, you can stick a fork in ICA, she's done...JMHO

I am curious to know if Casey was aware of all the baggage that Rosalie was carrying when she was brought on as part of the the defense team. If she knew her history, I wonder if Casey embraced her as one of their own or if she had to be talked in to accepting her. If she didn't know before, she must know now, right? She does get access to media reports doesn't she?

One narcisstic sizing up another narcisstic, :floorlaugh:. Each thinking they can out use the other. :floorlaugh: ICA may have met her match or Rosie may have met her's. :loser: Will be interesting to see who wins the final war. Although Rosie seems to have won the first small battle by not appearing in court yesterday. Hence, the attitude ICA had all day. :floorlaugh:

All KC cares about is if KC is prettier than her and probably if RB has an RV that would be helpful. jmo

But that may backfire. One thing I learned from my lawyer father was NEVER to promise anything upfront, or hint anything even, that you cannot show some evidence of. Even though the defense does not have the burden of proof, they still cannot say totally off the wall things as if they are true. The jury remembers it all, and wonders where it is if you do not come through with it. They feel cheated if you promise something in the opening statement and never follow through.
If they imply sexual abuse and major family dysfunction, the jury will want to see some evidence of that. The most Casey has ever said or written concerning her father was ' I don't know, but MAYBE, he may have done something a long time ago when I was little.' That is far from earth shattering accusations. And male jurors are very wary of false accusations, as they would NEVER want a stepchild or a student or niece to accuse them falsely.

I agree but not all people and potential jurors are like you and I and require the burdon of proof. Some people just need that little seed planted and that could be enough to cloud their thinking.

Eight weeks of evidence is going to be hard for people to remember and some of them may have trouble keeping track of who said what and when. They aren't the type to keep notes and they aren't the type to ask later for a transcript of testimony. I personally would find eight weeks of testimony difficult to keep accurate without extensive notes. Maybe a couple of people from here can be jury assistants....LOL I nominate Beane.

She said something about gaining too much weight when with her former husband. I'm sure she thought once she shed him and the children, she would prove what a healthy choice she made falling for Oscar.

She wanted to prove she was a :loser:

Which is a big, fat lie if she said that IMO, because if you look at videos of her around the time that she was "falling in love" with Bolin, she was quite trim in comparison to now.

IIRC I saw something the other day that said her next visit was May 15 and that's tomorrow, so...........................

Ha! Hubby told me he thought visiting day was Sunday (he worked as a guard there a long time ago), but I suggested that things had probably changed since then. Guess he was right, as usual! Thanks, WOL!

God FORBID anything happened to any of RB's daughters [lets pray not]... I wonder how hard she would work to help her childs murderer get off? It's more than obviously she cares more about evil- EVIL serial rapists/killers than she does their victims.

two things, can someone explain to me who Larry Garrison is?
also, why can't I view the youtube video of Bolin talking to the victim's sister? It says it is set to private..is there a way I can see it?
Thanks, sleuthers!

Quick synopsis...

Larry Garrison was the "volunteer" PR spokesperson for the Anthonys early in the case and the one who arranged the media deals for the Anthonys.

Jim Litchenstein alerted Cindy when he learned that one national media (NBC I think?) paid a $5000 licensing fee but Garrison pocketed the money. An email exchange took place (in discovery) resulting in Garrison claiming HE quit as PR spokesperson and Cindy claiming she "FIRED" him....

Lots of links earlier in this thread...

The Video

The daughter made one post recently on another site we cannot link to, and stated she set the video to private as she produced this video as part of a "personal journey" and did not intend or anticipate it would later receive so much attention. She stated that its exposure was causing embarassment for her sisters, but was very clear in wanting to state she did NOT remove it at the request of her mother.

“I’m a super mitigation specialist, a mitigation specialist on steroids. I’m going to show you I’m not crazy. Crazy like a fox. I am aboveboard. I have never done anything inappropriate.”

http://www.flogfolioweekly.com/?p=2440#more-2440

“A lot of them say, ‘Rosie, I don’t know what happened.’ They were drunk. They were on a drinking binge, a drug binge. It’s like peeling an onion. Sometimes you have to explain it to them. Your wiring short-circuited. Your mother did heroin when you were in utero. Your wiring short-circuited. Some people have poor impulse control. So what do we do, just exterminate them? I’m a caregiver. I’m a mother. I care about people. So flog me. I have human compassion. So flog me.”

“I will say this. Every case could be mitigated. There isn’t a case I couldn’t mitigate. I promise you I could mitigate a Cuban sandwich. Every problem has a solution. They are not excuses. They are explanations.”

Soooo...what say y'all?

Is she not showing up anymore because their secret was "thwarted" and she's been outted? LMAO, really....

or...

Didn't her dear hubby have an upcoming trial or some other type of judicial action in May, 2011? If so, maybe she's now too busy (snort) defending her man.

:fence:

P.S. Really...what WAS the DT thinking about bringing her on?

Thank you for the video tigerbalm.

While watching it I can't help but remember psychological profiles of women who seek and marry men that are either incarcerated on LWOP or Death row.

I'd be curious to read what a pro has to say after they've "peeled her onion". JMHO

  • #379
I'm wondering if the DT finally listened and took her OFF immediately after seeing the horrified way everyone here reacted, as well as the media.
She was definitely a distraction!

I apologize that I haven't read all of the posts however, IMO, the undercurrent here is to give the defendant confidence, hope and encouragement that someone accused or even convicted of murder can in the future be found redeemable by someone, and even more profoundly, by someone who would almost impossibly be converted to finding good in that person.

So even if ICA is convicted and sent to prison, there may be that special someone who will bond with her. Maybe even send a cake with a file in it.

What about that nice young man who visited the parents for dinner?
