OMG. I just googled her and her husband. Apparently, he made a comment to his co-workers about the girls being "pretty and petite" when their pictures were shown on the news prior to him being caught.

Makes me wonder. This woman is apparently sick, and ICA is "pretty and petite". So, did her murderer husband encourage her in someway to get on this case for his own pleasure, KWIM?

Bold mine.

Eeeeek! This is starting to remind me of "Criminal Minds."

Has she ever visited ICA in jail? Can we see her visitors logs? TIA

Wait.... what!? I heard about this *scandal* since the sleuth started yesterday- but evidently didn't know half of it.... but what!? She's ADMITTING that he raped a woman at gunpoint? But she married him because he's not a killer?! And she let her BEAUTIFUL daughter meet this guy???? OMG. I don't know what to say about all this that WON'T get me a time out. I love you guys, so I'll just say the standard: "OMFG!!! Are you freegin kidding me???"

Per Curious Me's link:

She says: *I stay with him because it would be easy to walk away* and then...*I feel very strongly: I started something... Im gonna finish it* thennnnnn....*you dont start something that you cant finish*

After pressing the backspace a gajillion x to delete my REAL response to that, my short & nicer response is that YOU EASILY walked away from your kids!! Why didn't you feel strongly about that? You *started* the process of deciding to incubate/provide 24-7 assistance to YOUR (not 1, not 2, 3 but FOUR) 4 children. Why start them into this world without 'finishing'? I'm sure you were a decent part time mother. Your daughters look happy & healthy -by no fault of your OWN. I would rather die a sad miserable, unloved, un-sexualized woman than abandon my young children. That is what mothers who love their children do. We finish. I wish I could be honest & state how I really feel. You're not worth it. Neither is your new bff. Birds of a feather~. ..

Two responses. First, what you said is true and holds true today. KC still hangs with the "less attractive" people because they do something for her. Before it was making her feel better but now it's to get her out of her mess.

Second, I agree with you that she'd hang with who she thought she was better looking than. Except I don't think she would be at all nice to or about these specific women. I think she'd befriend who she thought were less attractive girls her own age, yes. But in my mind I can see KC and a few friends walking through the mall, AL walks by and KC snickers, "Gross. I'll never look like that. What a loser." I also think she'd think the same about RB or DS or even CM. Anyone older looking or not perfect would be seen as ugly and mockable. Look at CA and the 10 nonsense. Like mother like daughter.

(sorry mods:innocent:) On topic : That video of the girl meeting her "stepfather" still freaks me out.

I got ya! And, I agree. She would look at them and snarl and make some snide remark about how wrinkled or old they were. Yes. This new lady, RB, fits right in with her, IMO. Neither of them wanted to raise the beautiful daughters that they brought into the world. (Just keeping us on topic here!)

Did anyone else find her blog (google Rosalie Bolin setting record straight)
where she denies the allegations against her and talks about writing and casting "The Real Wives Of Death Row"?

She is an *ODD PERSON*

This post threw me into a laughing frenzy.
This whole case has become too much - as has been said time and time again - you just can't make this stuff up. :ufo:

I think hiring this(unusual person) has shown that they do really think she will get the DP.
This seems like the type of person you get for serious concerns about death. If they were so confident she didn't do it, Finnel would have been sufficient . IMO

AF seems like a decent sort. Not low down like the rest of the defense team. Wonder what she thinks of Rosalie. Maybe she has no clue...cuz if she did, I'd think she'd run as fast as Andrea Lyon(S) did. She still could cuz Foghorn Leghorn is DP qualified, isn't he? I say, I say, boy!

Tell me there's not a hint of Hannibal Lector, here:

At any rate, this is another debacle for the defense, taking this lady on. There are lots of examples to be made of people that come off as too hawkish on the death penalty, but she, to me, is an example of the polar opposite end of the spectrum: Someone so in denial of the existence of good, and evil and judgement, that they have sympathy for the devil.

And think they can make the rest of us buy into it. Some people do buy into it.

The judge & jury, however, live in a state of reality (or so we hope). JB really should have stuck with someone in a more neutral shade. The defense might actually impress us if for once, they find and keep a real, non-controversial and non-money grubbing expert who won't cut and run. I dunno, maybe go understated for once.

Oooooo...the day they were twinsies in teal!

So that's what ICA has been scribbling... she's practicing her ABC's 'cause she's got a new pen pal.

This lady creeps me out. She makes me think of some old raspy prison women who "takes in" all the prison newbies. I don't know if those kind of women really do exist, but when I saw her with ICA today that was the first thing I thought of. YUCK!

How could she have left her daughters behind? By her own account her x-husband isn't the greatest guy in the world but she leaves her little girls with him any way?

Not to mention how mad it made me that she was okay with her daughter going to visit that monster. Don't even get me started...

JB better be careful, next to this chick Cindy and George look like Mr and Mrs Cunningham.

Rosalie, married young, and was in an oppressive relationship, being controlled by her husband and FIL. She feels no shame having abandoned her children for Oscar. ICA was in the same position with her parents according to AF. I bet Rosalie will help develop this angle.

"She was taught to project false appearance, she was used as a decoy or pawn by her parents and a scapegoat for parental misconduct," said defense attorney, Anne Finnell.

http://www.wftv.com/news/27864528/detail.html

How much you wanna bet that before her first husband she felt oppressed and married number one to prove something to them. Marrying a man on death row is a pretty darn extreme way of making sure you have "space".

I actually pity her.

I feel badly for this woman's four grown daughters. It would almost be
easier if you had a mother who died. It's not their fault she made these
bad choices. It has to be a real head trip for them.

The shame of it all.

  • #213
What is her role here, besides adding content to her life story she sold the rights to? I don't see her doing anything but kissy/huggy/feely with ICA. Otherwise she's typing on that darn laptop. I also rarely see any interaction between her, JB, and CM.

To think at first I thought she was the jail shrink. Now I have to laugh, because I think she's the one who needs the jail shrink. Much more so than ICA.

MOO

And just think, now those same daughters get to see her comfort a killer (alleged). Nice :(

Why can I not stop coming back to this horrid topic? (lol) Every time I do I can't get the image of that poor girl meeting the monster her mother abandoned her for and him looking at her as prey.

Space and control. How transparently messed up can you be? Marrying a death row prisoner so you can finally have control in a relationship is pretty text book.

ETA: I just remembered something in the video and rewatched to get the quote. While I was watching I noticed the picture she has of this Bolin guy on her phone table seems like it's of him in court. Probably the only pic of him that's presentable for framing at that time since I doubt he was posing for suit and tie pics between killing girls.

Now for the quote I was looking for: "This wasn't some brain surgeon, or some tennis pro, or some airline pilot who was trying to wisk me away from your father. This was a guy in jail that I'm helping!"

Does she even realise that being a serial killer is not a career, unlike a tennis pro, pilot or surgeon? Also, yes lady, this is a guy in jail; not a tennis pro, pilot or surgeon. And your relationship should have been a professional one. At one point you apparently knew that and realised that it was improbable that he would "wisk you away". So what the heck happened in your mind to change that? Wow.

Just found this

Judge Perry cited a case (one of many) in his Order Denying Motion To Exclude Hearsay Evidence, Gossip And Innuendo

That case was "Bolin v. State 2010 WL 2612348 (Fla.)"

http://www.ninthcircuit.org/news/Hi...ay Evidence Gossip and Innuendo 7-19-2010.pdf

Found here (not sure but think I'm correct) -

http://www.wfsu.org/gavel2gavel/transcript/pdfs/08-1963.pdf

Sorry, this seems to be the one Judge Perry cited -

http://www.floridasupremecourt.org/decisions/2010/sc08-1963.pdf

Isn't it poetic justice that previous cases brought on by Oscar Ray Bolin are being used as a basis to deny motions by the defense?

Absolutely beautiful and karmic. There's angels up there looking out for you Caylee.

  • #218
I seem to remember other Bolin cases being cited in other motions and will keep having a hunt for them.

  • #219
Bolin is an attention seeker. This woman is there to soothe the princess. while she's at it she may be filling ICA's head with movie rights, books, etc. She is preening ICA's feathers while the men folk are working.

:waiting:

Back to the Topic of Rosalie Bolin - What is Her Role?

I personally cannot get past her previous relationship with Larry Garrison, Silver Creek Entertainment and previous PR man for Anthonys. Of ALL the people in the U.S., when I googled her, this was one of the first "hits"...coincidence...or not? I think not...

So this is what I am pondering...

She suddenly appeared on Day Three of Jury Selection. We know she is not an attorney, claims to be (in articles on net) a "mitigation specialist" and also "an investigator", and we now assume that the motion for additional investigative hours is referring to her.

But we also know that IF she is now part of the "defense team", she would be doing so on a pro-bono basis, so I would assume there is NOT a financial contract involved.

I suppose it is possible that Baez may have drawn up a confidentiality agreement (yeah, right) but would she be bound under client-atty confidentiality protection as a "member of the defense team"?

Is it POSSIBLE that she contacted the defense team to VOLUNTEER her services under the direction of Larry Garrison in order to be privy to the "inside details" of jury selection and trial with the intent in exploiting this information AFTER trial in a media deal (TV, book, etc)?

I personally don't think many of the post-trial books, etc are going to be a huge hit as I don't expect the verdict to be a "shock", nor do I think there are going to be many "previously unknown BOMBSHELLS" that come out at trial to push these projects.

HOWEVER, if a book/movie were to come out depicting EXACTLY what transpired BEHIND the scenes DURING the process, it would generate HUGE interest!

SO what kind of confidentiality will she be bound to?

Keep in mind the controversy concerning the confidentiality agreement...or lack of such....concerning investigator Dominic Casey and what his role was, and whether or not he was under contract at certain points....

Just is NOT making sense to me that Andrea Lyon "mitigation specialist" has been on this case, was awarded additional investigative hours by JAC, and has visited recently with KC for HOURS....and NOW the defense is bringing in someone else.....days before trial????

Something smells worse than decomposition here...
