Does anyone know if she is a real Florida Bar attorney and if she is, has she filed the proper paperwork with Orange County to sit on ICA's defense team?

Not an attorney!

I finally just read that article...and want to throw up. Wow...

She may have a dubious background but I can see the shift in the defense. She seems very capable of introducing doubt and innuendo into this case.

I was shocked while watching a show about the trial last night. Nearly every person interviewed on the streets of Orlando through the killing was an accident, and she covered it up because she was afraid of her parents. No one mentioned Chloroform... If the defense can make it seem like the Chloroform was from say, rotting pizza, they could have a chance at a manslaughter verdict. I sure hope the pros can roll up a good case and we get a good jury or ICA could be out in 10.

Jury selection in Casey Anthony murder trial grinds along slowly in Pinellas

Also Thursday, Rosalie Bolin, an anti-death-penalty activist who is married to convicted murderer and death row inmate Oscar Ray Bolin Jr., was assisting Anthony's defense team.

Defense attorney Jose Baez declined to discuss Bolin's role, and Bolin told a reporter simply that "it should be obvious what I'm doing here."

Yup... it's pretty obvious to me why she's there.

I would love love love for the SAO to ask a prospective juror their view on MURDERABILIA!!!!!

It fits right in with the media themes anyway.

SO how bout it SAO...can you weave that little question into your general voir dire?

It is relevent.

Does anyone recall I noticed that money was a trigger word for Rosalie. when it was mentioned yesterday twice.....she shook her head.

Money is on Rosie's mind and you can't convince me otherwise!!

What's the betting she either has, or soon will have a book coming out?

Okay, officially disgusted.

So Rosalie wasn't kidding when she said she wanted to make millions of dollars so Bolin could have a "rich mans defense"?

As an aside, what does the phrase "rich mans defense" mean anyway? Does Mrs Bolin think that if you have enough money you get off? Cos that's kinda how I take it. I remember Michael Peterson saying something similar. I'm happy in the knowledge that Michael Peterson and Oscar Bolin are sitting in jail, one on LWOP and one on Death row respectively.

I don't understand the logic - you get a massively unlikable person who also has a massive amount of bad press (Mrs Bolin) to assist as your mitigation investigator to help your massively unpopular/hated client.

Something is wrong with this picture.

As much as we have all been disgusted with the selling of Caylee Anthony are we also seeing the selling of Casey Anthony?

I think that is EXACTLY what is going on!

Just curious....what show was this? Was it a broadcast from a local news station?

I haven't heard anything about people being interviewed on the streets of Orlando....only about the "mock jury" broadcast...

The daughter she was speaking to was only SIX when her mom dumped her and her sisters for her Rapist/Murderer boyfriend. And mom has the nerve to give her the ' start what you finish' speech? And the girl asks her mother if she ever worried about what her girls were going through and Mom says " No, I just thought you all would be okay." What an insensitive answer to a very revealing question. Sorry, but this woman is a moron when it comes to mothering her children.

I can't think of anyone more perfect to fight for Team KC. Wish the jurors knew who she was.

BBM

IMO, these types are exactly who KC would want to surround herself with. I think KC would want to be the prettiest in the group so she would choose to be around others who are less attractive and less fit. She would see herself as doing them a favor by being their friend. I have a niece who is very like KC and she would never go out with someone who was as good looking or better looking than she is. Her ego can't handle the competition. She feels that others are lucky that she lets them be around her. IMO, KC is like this as well. Moo.

IIRC correctly, that's exactly what she did. (no offense)

I live in Orlando and every poll I have seen shows a majority saying she is guilty of killing her child - yes, some think it was an accident, but most do not.

Maybe she wants to adopt a future death row inmate now? She's already married one... why not add to the family??

What an <unusual person>.

She could always adopt Crazy ICA.

Never fear. People on the street only have tidbits of info from the news and who knows how closely they listened. The jurors will see the evidence, just as we have and It'll be their full time job for 2 months to make sure they understand the evidence.

  • #254
Oh dear god. Does the Jury get to know her background too lol?

Here we have Rosalie Bolin, another frauding, child dumping, <mod snip> to add to the circus, the defense team have created.

Is it just me, but why on earth would you hire someone that is quite clearly so mentally unstable, to represent you in saving you from being given a death sentence? Is that what this lady has been recruited by the defense to do? (please correct me if I am wrong)

I am speechless.

(Of course this is just my opinon)

ITA, these people will probably have heard about the case briefley and already formed an opinion without hearing the full story. LIke you have stated above the prosecutors have 2 months to present all the information and evidence to the jury.

I knew who she was right away when I saw the name on the thread. Im confident that atleast one juror, since the trial is in the tampa bay area, has heard of her.Haven't heard that name in a long time but that whole drama of leaving her husband and children for a 🤬🤬🤬 serial kiler was a pubicity circus around here.

okay did a quick scan of six pages and didn't see this mentioned YET - if it has - just ignore!! LOL! I noticed on the second link to an article on the first page of this thread - and some of AF's questions on mitigating circumstances - re 'head injury' or was it 'brain damage' - anyway - here's a quote from that article, and I believe THIS is where the DT got that idea!!

These days, she's a private investigator who works with lawyers, mostly on murder cases. She sits in jail cells with defendants, goes through their medical and social service records, talks to people who knew them. Were they abused as children? Did they suffer head injuries that damaged their brains? Is there anything that might persuade a jury that this killer doesn't deserve to die?

  • #259
WOW OMG...I just started reading this thread..

She left her husband and 4 children for a serial killer?

Wow...after hearing Ann Finnell mention Brain Development and child abuse today in jury selection and now reading this article about mitigation specialist Rosalie Bolin...now I see....
