Vitaliy Deyneha, founder of one of Ukraine's largest military charities Come Back Alive, about the White House fiasco:
"We were not pushed around today and weren't dragged into a trap. I didn't vote for Zelensky, but I fully support him today. At the briefing with Trump, it wasn't Trump who looked like the leader of a strong, free, and dignified country.
As for panic, blackmail, and weapons supplies – it will be difficult for us, and once again we will pay with our land and blood for others' greed, cowardice, and weakness. But this won't lead to ultimate military defeat either. Europe and the rest of the world will step up in some ways. And in other ways, the realities of modern warfare will make themselves known. Drones make quick raid operations impossible. So if we have enough of them, we can slow down and make the enemy's advance extremely costly. And since drones are also quite cheap, together with Europeans we will somehow manage them. It will be difficult.
It will be hard for us, but we will endure. Today, there was no shame for our President and country. I'm not sure Americans can say the same.
Churchill said that a nation that chooses dishonor over war will have both. Today we did not choose dishonor. And it seems no one offered us any other choice today."
