"Trump urges Zelensky on a deal.

'Immediately'.

'Ukraine,
headed by Volodymyr Zelensky,
has not signed the final documents with the United States
on a very important agreement
on the extraction of rare earth elements.
There is a delay of at least three weeks',

Trump wrote on the platform truthsocial.com.

'Let's hope it gets done immediately',
he added.

In his post,
the US president also claims that
'work on the comprehensive Peace Agreement between Russia and Ukraine is progressing smoothly.
Success seems to be in the future!'
- he stated.

Trump believes that the agreement,
which is to allow American companies access to Ukrainian deposits of rare earth elements,
should be a kind of payment
for the aid provided to Ukraine during Joe Biden presidency

"Zelensky:

'A rocket with American parts fell on Kyiv'.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed
that the ballistic missile that hit Kiev came from North Korea,
and most of its components were made in the United States.

On Thursday,
Kiev was the target of a rocket attack that killed 12 civilians,
including children, and injured 90 people.

Zelensky stressed
that the details of the missile were still being investigated,
but it was already known that it had
at least 116 components
imported from other countries,
most of which were manufactured in the United States."

"Britain Considers Change of Plans:

Troops in Ukraine.

According to 'The Times',
Britain is considering withdrawing its plans to send thousands of troops to Ukraine,
a decision prompted by concerns about the conflict escalating.

France may take similar steps.

Instead,
British involvement is to focus on rebuilding and rearming the Ukrainian army
and providing air and sea protection.

War in Ukraine.

What are London's plans?

British and French military instructors could be sent to western Ukraine,
allowing commitments to be fulfilled without direct combat.
The aircraft would protect Ukrainian airspace,
and arms deliveries from the UK and EU would continue.

'The Times' emphasizes that no decisions have been made yet."

POOF! There goes another Russian ammo depot. They just keep mysteriously exploding. Four major GRAU arsenals—over half of European Russia's storage capacity—have been destroyed.

The 51st GRAU arsenal near Moscow just became the latest target—264,000 tons of munitions vaporized in seconds. https://euromaidanpress.com/2025/04/25/poof-looks-like-ukraine-erased-300000-tons-of-russian-ammo/?o87h

US Vice President's cousin Nate Vance, who fought for Ukraine against Russia for 2.5 years, shared details about their White House meeting. Like Zelensky, Nate wore casual clothes when visiting his cousin JD.

"I don't have a suit. Is that a problem?" he asked. "Don't worry, just come in," the VP replied.

The former Marine fought in Kupyansk, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka before leaving Ukraine in January, just before his cousin's inauguration.

Trump was only joking about ending Russia’s war in Ukraine in 24 hours, he says in interview with Time

Video compilations of Trump's multiple '24 hours' claims show him speaking authoritatively, seriously, and with little to no sign of any "jest."

Today, together with diplomatic representatives of the states and international organizations operating in Ukraine, we visited the site of the ballistic missile strike in Kyiv. The very place where the explosion of the missile claimed the lives of 12 of our people. My condolences.

Ordinary apartment buildings were destroyed. The rescue operation was completed only recently. More than 50 representatives of embassies, as well as representatives of international organizations, were present at the site. Together, we honored the memory of the victims. All the diplomats saw with their own eyes whom Russia is targeting with its ballistic missiles — missiles they are receiving from North Korea.

I am grateful to all the states that stand with Ukraine in such circumstances, in such moments — Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific region, North America — I thank all our partners for their support at this time. I also thank all the international organizations that are helping us, our state, and supporting Ukrainians.

I held a Staff meeting. Today, there was also a separate report from the Minister of Defense. The top priority is air defense — securing systems and missile supplies for them. Our agreements with partners. Contracts. Our readiness to produce air defense systems in Ukraine and negotiations regarding licensing.

There were reports from the military and government officials. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with specific responsibilities. We will seek to reach an agreement with the United States as well — an agreement on Patriots for Ukraine.

We are ready to purchase the necessary number of Patriot systems for our country. This is not about charity. We have proposed concrete deal options — to protect our people. I’ve instructed our diplomats to work more actively toward a response on Patriots.

Good meeting. We discussed a lot one on one. Hoping for results on everything we covered. Protecting lives of our people. Full and unconditional ceasefire. Reliable and lasting peace that will prevent another war from breaking out. Very symbolic meeting that has potential to become historic, if we achieve joint results. Thank you
@POTUS.

Trump adamant about Russia keeping Ukraine's land but flexible on formal Crimea recognition, Times reports.

Trump believes the Ukrainian leader "really has no choice" but to agree to the terms, according to the Times' source close to U.S Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Update: Zelensky, Trump conclude their meeting in Vatican. The two leaders agreed to hold further talks after Pope Francis’s funeral service, Sky News reported, citing Vatican sources.

The president will also meet with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Earlier, Zelenskyy also met with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss ongoing peace efforts.

Russian President Vladimir Putin told the U.S. about his readiness to enter negotiations with Ukraine "without preconditions," Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on April 26, state news agency TASS reported.

Putin told this to U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff during their meeting in Moscow on April 25, according to Peskov. The spokesperson added that the Russian leader had "spoken about this many times already."

Alabuga Special Economic Zone is an industrial complex dedicated to mechanical engineering and the production of Shahed kamikaze drones, as well as their Russian Geran copies, which Russia routinely uses in its attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

Facing a labor shortage, Russia is trying to stuff its factories with outreach efforts in some of Africa’s poorest nations, denying that the workers are going to work in military production.

Last October, the Associated Press reported that African women were being forced to build drones in Alabuga under gruelling and hazardous conditions, and were paid much less than promised.

"Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported to Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin on the completion of the operation to liberate Kursk Oblast," Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, according to the Interfax news agency.

Ukraine has denied the claim, saying that Russia's statements "do not correspond to reality."

"Ukrainian defensive operations in certain areas of Kursk Oblast continue," Ukraine's General Staff said, adding that Kyiv's forces repelled five Russian ground assaults in the area on April 26, with another clash currently ongoing.

"There were three chairs.

Was Macron supposed to talk to Trump and Zelensky?

1745697416731.webp

Was Donald Trump's meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky supposed to take place in a three-party format with Emmanuel Macron?

Such suggestions appear
after the release of a recording from St. Peter's Basilica.

It shows that three chairs were originally prepared.

Recordings of the minutes preceding the Trump-Zelensky talks have appeared online.

They show French President Emmanuel Macron approaching the two presidents and greeting Zelensky with an energetic handshake.

The video also shows a brief exchange of words.

In the background,
three chairs can be seen,
which may suggest that the talks were to take place in a three-way format -
Trump-Macron-Zelensky."
