There’s 4.546 litres in a gallon so approx 4.5 x £1.60 litre in U.K. = £7.20/$9.53
The regional difference is interesting. It's coming in at around £6.70 here in the South West (I'm just outside of Bristol)

I have been wondering about Moldova. Carefully treading on their "neutral" position. Which really means, toady for Russia, INMO.

The mortar shells fell first 100 or so yards from the bridge, then shifted in a series of thunderous blasts into a section of street where people were fleeing.
As the mortars got closer to the stream of civilians, people ran, pulling children, trying to find a safe spot. But there was nothing to hide behind. A shell landed in the street, sending up a cloud of concrete dust and leaving one family — a mother, a father, a teenage son and a daughter who appeared about 8 years old — sprawled on the ground.
Soldiers rushed to help, but the woman and children were dead. The father still had a pulse but was unconscious and severely wounded.
Their luggage, a blue roller suitcase and some backpacks, was scattered about, along with a green carrying case for a small dog that was barking...
The shelling suggested either targeting of the evacuation routes from Irpin, something of which the Ukrainian authorities have accused the Russian army after a railroad track used for evacuations was hit on Saturday, or disregard for the risk of civilian casualties.
I think their neutral position is real, and comes from a long time of having been roughed up over and over again by Russia.
Today's threats from Russia to destroy Odessa are likely a reaction to the SOS vistit to Moldova, trying to emphasize the threat, as Odessa is only 115 miles from the border.
It's in their constitution, and has served them well since their independence in 1991.
The reliable news sources are reporting they have now changed their minds about the EU and NATO and probably the most important reason US Secretary of State Blinken was in Europe was not to appear to support Ukraine by visiting Poland to meet with the Ukraniane officials, but to visit Moldova to talk to their President who wants the US to sponsor their NATO application, and get the process started, poste haste.
Getting Moldova under the cover of NATO would be a huge benefit to Moldova, of course, but would also benefit the Allies tremendously in being able to provide support and surveillance of what Russia is doing in Ukraine, and a buffer for Romania.
Today's threat by Putin to bomb Odessa is also likely partly due to the US Secretary of States appearance in Moldova, reminding them that Odessa is only about 115 miles from the border and can easily reach them if Odessa is taken

I haven't seen the MSM reports that Moldova has changed its mind about wanting to join NATO, if you have a link, I'd be interested in reading about it.
Not sure what I think about the possibility of the U.S. sponsoring Moldova's NATO application. If Moldova decides that they want to join NATO, I think that should be a decision of all NATO members. If sponsorship is required, then this should also be a joint sponsorship, IMO. I don't think the U.S. should act alone on this.[/QUO
I don't recall where I read this but it was within the last 3 days. I don't think it was in the US media. I'll look for it, thanks
There's an article on the DM website about civilians who were killed fleeing Irpin. I think that same family is pictured. It's so sad.

It would seem his ''ladies'' and offspring are weak points for P. could that not be exploited somehow?
