Russia imposes sanctions on US President Joe Biden, his son and other US officials
Russia has imposed sanctions against US President Joe Biden, his son, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, other US officials, and “individuals associated with them,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

“In response to a series of unprecedented sanctions prohibiting, among other things, entry into the United States for top officials of the Russian Federation, from March 15 of this year, the Russian 'stop list' includes on the basis of reciprocity President J. Biden, Secretary of State A. Blinken, Secretary of Defense L. Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff M. Milley, as well as a number of department heads and prominent US figures,” the statement read.
The statement went on to explain that this retaliation step was “an inevitable consequence of the extremely Russophobic course taken by the current US Administration, which, in a desperate attempt to maintain American hegemony, has relied, discarding all decency, on the frontal constricting of Russia.”

School in Italy cheers for Ukrainian refugee children on first day after fleeing Russian invasion | Daily Mail Online

Everything is making me cry lately. The thoughtfulness of this school in Italy doing their utmost to welcome these scared Ukrainian children.

Zelenskyy casually sitting on the steps, being interviewed by an American reporter, speaking English as much as he can.

These reporters and photojournalists dying, when all war correspondents do know the risks.

That incredible woman with the courage to show that sign on Russian TV, knowing full well what the repercussions will be.

I'm getting where I don't know if I can watch any more apartment buildings being bombed in the middle of the night, or hospitals, or watching the refugees still in the subterranean train tunnels.

Something like these children cheering the little Ukrainian children is so heart-warming but still makes me weep, just the idea of what Ukraine is enduring while we watch helplessly.

Never thought I would do this, but I posted this on my personal FB side....

Ik heb er echt heel diep en lang over nagedacht...misschien moeten we toch een No-Fly zone toekennen...Ik weet dat dit een WOIII gaat veroorzaken, maar moeten we weg blijven kijken....het gaat er bij mij niet meer in.

Of course in Dutch......

I really thought about it deeply and for a long time... maybe we should grant a No-Fly zone after all... I know this is going to cause a WWIII, but do we have to keep looking away.... it doesn't fit my feelings anymore.

And I know this is going to give a lot of reactions....If people are even aware.....a lot just going through live...hanging on to the ups...and the very ignorant....and also ok with me.

Ukrainian Refugee Children Give Chilling Accounts Of War Carnage (rferl.org)

Video caption: Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian children have become refugees since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. Their testimonies of the horrors of war are a stunning combination of unfiltered emotion and calm descriptiveness. The children also reflect on politics, with one girl remarking that Russian President Vladimir Putin was perhaps "neglected as a child." RFE/RL interviewed several Ukrainian refugee children in Poland and Lithuania on March 2-8.
It breaks my heart to hear that little boy say America is doing nothing, they're just watching. I understand why some are feeling that way and don't understand what greater hands on military involvement by NATO countries could cause to happen. There's a monster who cares not for human life and controls nuclear weapons and power plants.

My hearts aches for children who have to live in a war zone. It robs them of those innocent years every child deserves. I just hope and pray the war stops soon.

EMERGENCY - Russian ships open fire on Odessa (Video)

"Russia will besiege Odessa in order to occupy it and in combination with that of Mariupol to achieve full control of the coastal areas of Ukraine, completely cutting it off from the Black Sea.
We wrote earlier that Russian warships were located off Odessa.

Now things are getting worse since according to locals the Russian ships opened fire

At the same time, Russian paratroopers are preparing to fall on the outskirts of the city of Odessa, to encircle the city by land, cutting off all land supply access...."

(Link has vids from locals)

"The biggest moment of the war in Ukraine in a few hours
World public opinion is watching the Russian attack on Ukrainian cities with embarrassment.
Russian warships, including amphibious vessels, are moving towards Odessa today, according to satellite photos."

Just this afternoon, an American UAV Global Hawk (reg. 10-2045 - FORTE11 badge) from Sigonella that flew on a surveillance mission over the Black Sea, spotted the Russian convoy.

The sad reality is (like you said) NATO/the US/UK/everyone is bending over backwards to help. JMO

Fox News cameraman killed in Ukraine:

@ChadPergram

1) Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott: It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski. Pierre was killed in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine.

2) Scott: Pierre was with Benjamin Hall yesterday newsgathering when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire. Pierre was a war zone photographer who covered nearly every international story for FOX News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his long tenure with us.

3) Scott: His passion and talent as a journalist were unmatched. Based in London, Pierre had been working in Ukraine since February.

Zelensky gave a heartfelt speech to Canada today and will speak to the US Congress tomorrow. He is a charismatic leader and it's easy to feel his pain and empathize with his situation.

However, I hope the US continues to reject the idea of participating in a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

We simply cannot risk elevating this war to a international level. The bloodshed would be horrendous.

So far, the White House is standing firm. I pray they continue...

"It is also true that the president has to look at decisions that are made through the prism of what is in our national security interest and global security interest," White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday.

"He continues to believe that a no-fly zone would be escalatory, could prompt a war with Russia," she continued. "I don’t believe there is a lot of advocates calling for that at this point in time from Capitol Hill, but we certainly understand and recognize that is still a call from President Zelenskyy."
