  • Ukrainian forces continued to advance in northeastern Kherson Oblast
  • Ukrainian forces liberated Myrolyubivka and Arkhanhelske on the Inhulets River south of the Kherson-Dnipropetrovsk Oblast border

My worry is that with Russia doing so poorly in this invasion/war- Putin is going to be like a caged animal, backed into a corner and will use nuclear weapons. I put nothing past this mad-man.

Hmm- not sure I like Zelensky response though he may have good reasoning for that decision

Really? He might?

Well,I don’t agree, given his first statements about fighting and ending the war,Zelensky said,he would only talk to Putin, when the war was going to be in his favor.
Zelenski wil alleen praten met Poetin, Russische nationalisten voeren de druk op

I am getting very sceptical, about Zelensky.
And (imo) the way,he handles every criticism, not very democratic.

I have concerns about him too!
Dare i tip toe here and ask if U people are very different from R people, or opposite sides of the same coin?
Are the U people more socially progressive in line with NA and western E and UK standards, or at least the ones they strive to achieve?

I think the U and R citizens are of the same coin, but their leaders are obviously different and their strategies and tactics to get what they want are different in the extreme. But beyond that, I don't think it is about the citizens of both countries, but about the government that is running the countries. JMO.

I can't help but think that the PRC will be working with Putin behind the scenes to dissuade him from using nuclear weapons in this war. Publicly, they support Putin, but behind the scenes, I think they are working very hard to keep this from happening.

Russia has suffered significant losses in two of the four regions since Friday, when Putin signed treaties to incorporate them into Russia by force, with Russian officials saying their forces were “regrouping”.

“We are working on the assumption that the situation in the new territories will stabilise,” Putin told Russian teachers during a televised video call.

With Ukraine pushing its advance in the east and south, Russian troops have been retreating under pressure on both fronts, confronted by fast moving and agile Ukrainian forces supplied with advanced western-supplied artillery systems.

We now have a few Russians who "escaped" Russia - conscript age - living across the street now - must have relatives here as Latvia wasn't letting any in.

On the video of the surrenders - I would too!! :o
