Cops believe missing Bolshoi ballerina Olga Demina was dismembered and her body dissolved in acid. RUSSIAN FEDERAL POLICE

'Russian detectives fear that a ballerina who vanished six years ago has been dismembered and her body dissolved in acid by a man who may have been blackmailing her with sexual images.

Olga Demina, 25, a dancer with the renowned Bolshoi Theatre, mysteriously vanished in 2014 and now cops are zeroing in on her suspected killer.''

''Komsomolskaya Pravda reports that investigators believe she was murdered as part of a sinister blackmail plot orchestrated by her “manager” and “lover,” Malkhaz Dzhavoev, 40.

Dzhavoev had been jailed for five years as part of an apartment fraud.

After Demina vanished, he fled to Germany posing as a Kurdish refugee but was nabbed and extradited back to Russia in 2017.''

''Last year, a skull was discovered close to where Dzhavoev’s mobile signal was registered on the night Olga went missing - but it was found not to be linked to the case.

The ballerina’s mother Elena Demina said: “Investigators told me new information appeared in the case.

“The killer murdered her and then dismembered the corpse…then he dissolved parts of the corpse in acid."

The mother told how before her death the dancer had paid large sums of money to Dzhavoev.

“Shortly before her death she sold her Peugeot car. She went to sell it with Malkhaz, he took the money.

“Olga also had loans in her name - and gave the money to Malkhaz.

“She was completely at his mercy.”

She had evidently feared “sexually compromising” pictures of her would appear online - and despite paying money to prevent this, the pictures were posted. ''
