Not arguing ...just asking Didn't a certain Dr do a lecture using Laci's photos. Seems to me he talked of that case and showed pics of the recovered remains. I remember a wave of disgust making the rounds on the web.

I really don't know about that. I only followed that case on the surface. That was the first time I ever saw a family as evil as their evil spawn. I didn't realize people could be like that. I guess that was preparation for this one.

Please tell me that we stepped into a better world where someone would not sell pictures of their grandaughters decomposed corpse, especially when that money would go to defend the childs killer.
I know, wishful thinking, but sometimes there are no words.

I am telling you, everyone involved with this case and around the Anthonys are evil as h*ll.

I was referring to a poster that brought up the GAL issue early on, and was an advocate of it in this case, it was discussed at length, prior to her being found as of course it is no longer an option.

That's cool... I respect that. I just don't see it that way.. I see those behaviors as manipulation, attempting to get people to like her, to be on "her side" by behaving in the manner she thinks they would expect her to.

I think that KC's ability to manipulate everyone around her is key to the way this played out. I really believe that she was able to manipulate CA into believing that the imaginary nanny kidnapped Caylee. CA loved her granddaughter and KC manipulated her into believing Caylee was alive. I think the story about the nanny was believed because the only other alternative was that Caylee was dead. CA held on to that hope and ran with it, and if I were her I'd probably have done the same thing. That 0.000001 chance would be all I needed to search the country for my grandchild. And if some big tv network offered me six figures to give them a video, I'd probably do it. Searching for that child, however fruitless it was to the rest of us, cost money, and that was an easy way to find the money to keep the search and hope alive. So if the A's sold videos or photos, I'm not going to fault them for it.

And all this talk about CA and GA not working and living the high life is , no offense, a load of crap. How could anyone go to work everyday when their granddaughter is missing and presumed dead. How would CA safely care for a pt when this is on her mind? IMO George and Cindy are victims of KC as well.

Yes. I still cannot get over comments in jail stating she could only help find her child effectively if she were bonded out. Made me ill how she played that card.

I re-watched that jail visit the other night, and it was so obvious what she was doing...the constant "that's all i can do from in here" comments etc...basically promising to help if she got out and stressing that she couldn't help unless she got out. It must have been so obvious to George.

I might go along with you if THEY had EVER searched. They collected money, lied, obstructed the investigation and nothing else that I can see.

The trip to the LK show was to get money. All that about a tip was pure BS.They did NOTHING that did not line their pockets. It certainly would not be a wonder they were shopping picture selling, they are out of money again.

My reaction is the exact opposite...it makes me feel sick. The SA are obviously concerned, and I suspect they know a lot more about this case than you do!

you misunderstood, the thought that someone's grandparents would actually think about selling photos of their granddaughter's remains does make me sick, what made me laugh is the assumption that some are making that it is the A's that would do that. Baez is iffy, don't think he'd risk his career over it, but i do think others working for the defense could...in which case, just release the photos and then no one can profit off of them.

and i know for a fact that SA know more about this case than i do, no brainer there.

For me, the jury is still out on the actual accessory after the fact, but I am definate he knew she was dead by then. That being said, would not surprise me if he had at this point.

Because it was my understanding that their beloved granddaughter was dead, her skeletal remains rotting in a cardboard box, and their daughter is sitting in jail awaiting trial for murder and could possibly face the death penalty. Doesn't really seem like the "high life" to me...

I think it was the "truth" that LE had enough to arrest her based on all of the blabbing/lying she had already done! An impending arrest will shut anyone up. And as far as profiting off of the baby's pics, well, at this point, there is nothing I would put past them!

Had they not had the luxury of donations, what would have become of them? I think many people who have experienced a family tragedy and still found the courage to support themselves through it would be terribly offended by some of those statements.

Everyone handles tragedy in their own way. Who are we to judge what is the correct way to grieve for a granddaughter? I in no way am trying to offend people who are able to go back to work sooner after a tragedy. But on the same token I'm not going to dictate when CA is ready to return to work. She has a media circus outside her house, her granddaughter is dead, and her daughter is in jail. I don't think I'm out of line to think that the woman deserves a little empathy.

It was stated on NG. The remains are being stored in a cardboard box they were brought to the funeral home in from the ME.

If you read the Orlando Sentinel article it is a bit more clear.

"It has been widely reported the major media outlets have paid substantial sums of money for 'licensing fees' for photographs and videos of Caylee Marie Anthony depicting her image while she was still alive," Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick wrote in the motion. "It is imperative that this court take steps to prevent any image of her remains from being used for commercial gain. This request is not to suggest or infer that defense counsel will engage in such conduct."

Baez can't sell anything, and if he has, he is in big trouble up to and including disbarment per Florida Statutes.

I think the Orlando Sentinel article is very clear about who has profited. When you think about it, where did the pictures and videos of Caylee originate to begin with? They were privately owned by her family - George, Cindy, Lee, and Casey. These were family pictures taken from the day of Caylee's birth onward. We know that the video of Caylee reading to her great-grandfather at the assisted care facility on Father's Day, was taken by Cindy. Permission for the media to use those pictures and videos, could only come from the Anthony family.

Much Earlier, when George and Cindy first appeared on GMA, there was a discussion of who profited from the images shown. A third party - an agency, who arranges interviews with people, also handles payment for licensing pictures and videos. GMA or Dateline, or any other program of that type, pays the agency.

Technically, a person can deny that they were paid by GMA, and GMA can deny they paid the person for images, because both parties went through a third party, an agency, who handles the scheduling and payments.
