S.A. Concerned Defense will Sell Pics of Caylee's Remains

Just an FYI, there is very little actual expense in arguing an objection at a hearing. I read the motion and if it took an hour to draft, re-draft and complete for filing, I would be shocked. The filing fees are minimal, and attendance at the hearing to give oral argument is but a few hours of time for the defense attorney, even if he has to travel from Kissimee to Orlando for the hearing.

On the flip side, first class or business class round trip tickets from Connecticut to Orlando costs thousands of dollars and then there is the hotel, rental car, meals and expert hourly rate on top. This is for just one expert! I have never had an expert who would travel in the cheap seats or stay at a roach motel and eat fast food. These guys do not come cheap.

Hmmm...where I come from a Hearing of that type would cost at least 5-10k....where do you live that your lawyers charge such budget rates?

They don't need first class tickets...we are talking about a family that was on the verge of foreclosure...why would they demand first class tickets for such a short flight knowing the family is so poor? Why was it worth it for them to go to Florida when they did? Who do you think paid for the 1st class tickets for their last visit? Why did JB even get them to town if he only wanted to give them pics?

Something else I don't understand, beside the Law. There is no Law that truly protects the victim. IMO, the only Victim is Caylee and Nobody should have any right to her, she was murdered. This is not a natural causes of "Death". It seems people are forgetting this saga that has been going on for over 6 months. All the lies, the poor searchers out risking there life looking for Caylee and the family sitting back protecting Casey...I do not feel sorry for them, I can't. How can I when they lied to? This case would of been solved the first night Caylee didn't come home. I assume after the fight June 15th Casey left mad and told Cindy a thing or two. I know as a grandmother who now has custody of my granddaughter that if you fear for your grandchild's safety you can go to the court house yourself and file a petition for custody. And in my state grandparents have no rights! But, the birth-mother was doing the same thing Casey was and I put a stop to it ASAP! I didn't wait. Sorry, had to vent because I don't feel that Caylee's pictures, video, x-rays of her remains should be sold, made public or exploited. Any "Victim" for that matter.

I am also willing to bet that JG's family has fathoms of photos of Caylee in her infancy yet we have only seen one or two of those photos! Have they gone out and tried to make $$$ off of what they have? NO! And that family isn't even related by blood to Caylee!

Yes they appeared on some shows and did a few interviews but they were tastefully done (IMO) and the financial gain was most likely minimal. I also do not think that the G's did those interviews for financial gain - more likely to clear the air about any involvement of JG.

Please note the above states "IMO, most likely, I do not think, and likely". This wording is to show that this is my opinion and not substantiated by any FACT or LINK - just my own common sense and memory!

and some more good common sense from you cocoamom!

I believe the G family truly adores and loves Caylee. Pure Love.
imo

Let's not forget that Casey SHOULD have only gotten a public defender here and not some anonymous donor for a celebrity team of defense expert witnesses, lawyers, etc.

I can understand that Cindy A. would want to hold out for hope..nothing wrong with that at I all. Most did.
What I find wrong it that they have all lied since day one.
A 6 figure gain was received for a videos and pictures of a live Caylee.
As far as I know, TES never received any money from the Anthony's.
All the money donated to kid-finders went where? They sold the Caylee t-shirts and the flyer's were mostly donated. I don't see where any of these moneys that have been gained helped Caylee in anyway. I can assume now that is how Casey can afford her so called "Dream Team".

I agree with Turbo: They collected money, lied, obstructed the investigation and nothing else that I can see.

They are living the "high life" on Caylee's blood money as compared to where they were prior to July 15th. They were getting ready to be living in their cars, because their home was being foreclosed on and they were being sued by their creditors. (by CA own testimony in court)

great post!:clap::clap:
i can't believe how sick those people make me feel. evil...disgusting...horrid.:puke:  :furious:
moo :cow:

I personally don't think they should be sold to anyone, by anyone. I do think the state is overstepping by saying that only counsel and co counsel can view them. That limits Casey's defense and could open things to an appeal. What is Baez going to do with an xray he can't show anyone? He doesn't know how to read one, he has no credentials in that area whatsoever. The state's evidence should be sealable where Baez gets it, appropriate experts can view it under a confidentiality agreeement, and the their publishing or selling the data is strictly prohibited.

Your thoughts on this are interesting. Where I come from a request of this nature would not be considered unusual. In fact, I've been involved in more than 1 case where Judges would not even allow subpoenaed materials to be uplifted from the Courtroom. I think the Judges main concern would be protecting what little dignity Caylee has left in death, and ensuring these photos are not sold. We will find out tomorrow.

The most valuable pictures are the most gruesome.

They can't sell anything if they get indicted or charged with anything related to this case.

On NG last night one of her "expert" lawyers said that in child abuse and/or 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 cases, it is routine for SA and defense to meet with judge and agree to limit access to any visual media. It sounds like JB is banging pots again

If you read the motion, you will see that they are specifically trying to have the As excluded from seeing/being provided with the pics....I quoted from the Motion in a post above where they say they want it limited to co-counsel and the experts.

The Motion seeks to have all viewing done in the presence of JB...so, yes, it would become his responsibility...it would put him in a position of having to explain if the pics were sold.

I have just read the motion but didn't see anything that remotely suggests that they are 'specifically trying to have the As excluded from seeing/being provided with the pics'. There is no mention of the A's at all. The motion is concerned with the defense team and any other party that they may be planning to show the contents of the discs to for the purposes of the defence.

I can't really see any reason why Baez would show the A's pictures of Caylee's skeleton, can you? I know many people have a very poor view of him, but do you really think he would be that cruel and insensitive? I also can't, for the life of me, work out why people think that the A's would consider selling such heart-breaking pictures to the media either!

Hahahaha~ Banging pots~! Love it. :)

I can envision the entire defense team standing in that street now on Geraldo while Baez banged his pots, another one hitting a block of wood, Dr. B's wife playing a washboard, and the rest playing saws or other impliments while they whined in unison.

Thanks, was looking for it. I only get 2 pages though, there seems to be more. Anyhow, State is just saying that under FL law the photos must remain in the State, and Baez may have experts review under his supervision. No copies to be made or sent anywhere. (As they are the only one, important for Court, and no selling should be done, Motion does say that State is not saying Baez would sell any...) So, this is just matter of fact filing, protecting rights (victim), chain of custody, and so on....

Its none of my business when people go back to work, but I have to agree with you. When we had a horrible death in my family, my job gave me one week off for the funeral, thats it. I had to work the whole time it was going on, or we would have lost OUR house. We had 2 tiny kids and my husband was in college. My sister worked for the same company, took tons of time off, and they would not hold her position for her. They told her they would find her another position but you know how that goes. So right, not everyone can stay off work as long as they please.Money has to come from SOMEWHERE, it is ridiculous to think they aren't getting any.

So sorry for your loss metalcrystal...:blowkiss:
when my family had our horror of a kidnapping/murder, omg....! my family would have been so offended if they were asked on talk shows and offered money. heck they probably would have sued and gotten restrainig orders against them. And, everyone that worked, did just that, went to work, Sure, there was time taken off but not to excess. The authorities were allowed to do their jobs without hinderence.
some people tho! poor Caylee

You know, bunny, what I find sad? People who make accusations and assumptions without evidence or proof. I did NOT say that I approve or condone anyone selling or disseminating information in a case like this - I SAID that it is the right of the As to sell, license or lease their copyrighted material and intellectual property. That is the law and it is informed by our first amd. rights to freedom of speech and the body of law governing copyrighted property in this country, not to mention the copyright clause of the U.S. constitution. Whether we like it or not, it's the law.

The VI amd also protects the right of the accused to confront witnesses in court and that right is extended to physical evidence as well. It is a violation of KC's 6th amd rights to withhold or make conditional the release of evidence in her defense.

So you say all the TH lawyers are lying when they say it's routinely done? In any event, we'll see if the Judge agrees with you that he doesn't have the power to control the dissemination of these highly sensitive pictures of a deceased 2 year old.

Because, in my OPINION, they are not very nice people and have already sold out Caylee to the highest bidder.

Well the A's attorney Conway had a meeting over the pics for some reason. Of course as others have pointed out the "I" word was probably brought up. So if there is no mention of the A's why was Conway there?

I am thinking the anonymous donor is directly or indirectly the As, and that they got the money either directly or indirectly from selling photos of Caylee.

No, the argument now is whether the state has the right to deny or restrict public records and evidence to the defense or dictate or demand whom the defense can name as expert witnesses in the defense of the client.

This is a game, Dotseyes. This is payback for the accusations that Baez made that leaks are coming from the prosecution. This kind of thing goes on all the time.

Strange though isn't it, that if this was another motion from JB's camp, there would by now be a huge thread filed with expressions of outrage and disgust at his behaviour!

You may want to read it again...it specifically requests that only counsel, co-counsel and the experts be allowed to view it. I don't think you have to be Einstein to see that it excludes the Anthonys.

They really don't have any problem with how this makes them look, do they? Of course, they are going to say they are fighting it because of the restriction of not allowing them to be sent across country. Sure they are. ;)

IMO ALL they care about is the MONEY they are making off little Caylee. They don't care how they look to anybody as long as they have the $$$$$$$$$$$$$
IMO, some disorder runs in this whole family.
sometimes i even wonder if this whole horrible event was planned because i find it difficult to wrap by mind around this entire circus. :(
again, imo
