Sandra Bullock Adopts Baby Boy

LaLaw, funny, I was thinking this morning how much I would love to hold chubby little Louis. He's so adorable.

I hope People magazines don't fly off the shelf before I get to the store today! I would also love to kiss Louis's chubby lil cheeks! I am so happy for Sandra and Louis. She'll be a great mom!

Maybe I'm incorrect, but wasn't the baby adopted BEFORE the split, and Sandra announced it AFTER the split?

According to divorce papers, "There is no child under eighteen years of age or otherwise entitled to support who was born or adopted of this marriage and none is expected."

It sure seems to me that Jesse is the legal father.

It sure seems to me that Jesse is the legal father.

It appears that Sandra and Jesse were planning on adopting the baby together and once his transgressions became known Sandra decided to adopt the baby as a single mother. I guess all the paperwork hadn't been done and it was changed to just her name so he isn't a part of the divorce. The adoption hasn't been finalized yet so they could do that.

I rarely buy People because eventually they put all the articles on line. However, I could not wait to get my hands on this People! I bought it yesterday and the article and pictures about Sandra and Louis is just wonderful. She is an amazing woman, and Louis is soooooooooo precious! Sandra was also very kind with her words about Jesse. She continues to care for him, but the relationship has changed (obviously), and she classifies the relationship as bittersweet, but that she is being supportive of him while he gets help. What a class act she is! She also didn't rule out Jesse having a big role in Louie's upbringing, and says that all Jesse's children will remain in her and their new little brother's life.

I bought the people issue with Sandra and her son today. I haven't had a chance to read the article yet because my daughter headed off with it but there are a lot more pictures in that issue.

One thing that I read quickly was that Sandra said the first time she saw Louis it was like she had known him all her life she said "There you are". I got tears in my eyes because I think everyone here who is a parent knows that feeling!

My son was placed with me at 10 months (so he was a little older then louie)

when they reached him to be it was instance bond. that probably makes no sense

my husband came home, I had not told him about the baby yet being place with us, we were foster parents.
I had L in the playpen, my husband picked him up and said "now what do you want ?" L put his chubby little arms around his neck and gave him a big kiss. and you just feel the bond and sparks
like he was meant to be with us . he has been daddy little shadow ever since.

My son was 2 months old when we got him. We were just reading a note from the foster mom where she mentioned that he didn't smile much and they brought him to us and his face broke out in a big grin. I was hooked immediately. Every parent knows that feeling.

I just read my People magazine with Sandra and Louie on the cover- I'm so happy for her, and I think little Louie is a lucky little boy. Sandra will make an amazing mother.

Little Louie is truly a beautiful little baby. All you have to do is look at Sandra's face to see the love that she has for this little guy. I'm so glad that she has him. I would imagine that he has been a big help in helping her to get over the loss of her marriage. I hope she never considers going back. She is a wonderful mother and that little guy will never lack for love.
