Skeletal remains with clothes and jewelry. PMI around 3 months, so that puts us in the later summer months. The clothes are jewelry seem to say this woman was at least well-enough off and fashionable - the small hoop earnings are very much in fashion in the last few years, and the clothing brands fit right in affluent New England.

NAMUS

Not much else to say. I searched for news articles but did not find any. Clicking the “Location Found” link in NAMUS brings us to a rural address in Newtown /SandyHook CT. I do not know if this was where she was truly found - I have seen other NAMUS profiles that link to a random location in a town of city. I wonder if she is an elderly woman who has some dementia or wandered off. I searched missing women in the Eastern US and none jumped out as being a ‘perfect’, logical fit.

The cross pendant is unique IMO. From the pic it really looks like Aquamarine (or Blue topaz).

From a local October 14, 2023 article:
Police: Human remains found in wooded area in CT

”Human remains were found in a wooded area in Newtown on Friday afternoon, police said.A person called police about 2:38 p.m. to report that they’d found what they believed were human remains off of Edmund Road, according to the Newtown Police Department. Officers responded to the area, met with the caller and confirmed that what they found was, in fact, human remains, police said. A preliminary investigation did not find signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances, police said, and investigators were working to identify the person.” “The investigation was ongoing between Newtown police, the Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime Squad and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”

Not much to go on other than female wearing size XL shirt, in clothing brands that suggest middle class? As of today not much listed for physical description.

Description says CLEAR stones. Diamond? Cubic zirconia? Looks like gold, though.

Pandora bracelets aren't cheap, either. They've been pretty trendy for about the last decade or so. If she had it loaded with charms/beads, it doesn't look like they survived, which is a shame. The ones she had would have been a personalised selection, more identifiable to an individual.
