I was not sure where to put this, so here it lands. Since I have joined Websleuths, my focus has really been on cold cases where the possibility of the missing could have ended up in a vehicle under a body of water. As part of my interests, I also watch many TV shows about ancient history and the location of lost civilizations. Which brings me to the technology known as Satellite Remote Sensing. See the links below. I am wondering if this technology could possibly be used to search shallower, fresh water bodies of water in an attempt to isolate locations prior to sending in dive teams? Any thoughts?
