So they can get an ID on these by Monday and the remains in Deland are still confounding everyone to the point where they can't even say whose remains those AREN'T? Fascinating....

If you notice, when remains are finally ID'd, there isn't a list of who the remains aren't, there's just the name released of who the remains are. IF the remains in Deland matched H.E. we would know by now. They have H.E's DNA and dental charts. IF the DNA from the remains doesn't match anyone in whatever missing persons database they use to check, then there's nothing to say until they know who it is. The M.E. in FL is not going to put out a bulletin on who all doesn't match the remains. And SC doesn't have anything to report.

FWIW, in the articles below they did exactly that-identified who the remains weren't. It doesn't seem like it should be so hard to just say "We know for sure it isn't these local people who are missing." Unless they really can't tell.

So sad for her family. My mother's maiden name is Pipkin so I can't help but wonder if we are kin. You don't see many Pipkins. At least now her family can put her to rest.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Grace Baptist Temple Church. Burial will follow at Aynor Cemetery.

The announcement also said that memorials can be made in Pipkin's memory to Community United Effort Center for missing Persons (CUE)...

"It just hurts really bad, knowing what he did to her, you know, and it's not all over. I can't bury all of her," said Gail Pipkin.
