GUILTY SC - Ashley Pegram, 28, Dorchester County, 4 April 2015

Is it for sure Bonilla's car?

I don't think they've officially said it is, but I believe the timeline has him "kicking her out" after this footage was recorded, so I imagine it should be. I'll have to look again. Oof, I hate doing things mobile; really need to fix my laptop for when I can't get to desktop.

Yes, it is his car, verified in MSM.

I made some maps, which I'll have to put into one with my desktop later.

MSM says "the piggly wiggly near Main Street in Berkeley county." I assume that's the Summerville one on N. Cedar, not the one in Moncks Corner.

It's a direct route (the popular non-freeway route) from College Park to that Piggly Wiggly, which would be on the route to her street.

If he didn't kick her out there, and took her somewhere else, then he knew that area and picked a familiar landmark to lie about.

If he did kick her out there, there could be a few remaining pay phones in the area or she could have used a stranger's phone to call a friend for a ride, or tried to hitch.

It's 13 minutes from College Park Rd to Piggly Wiggly, 8 minutes from Piggly Wiggly to her home. If he did kick her out "a little after midnight" and she was seen in that security tape "just after midnight" - that timeline checks out, then.

Edit after research: There is a Kangaroo express right by that Sunoco and another near but not right next to the piggly wiggly. I wonder if it's a reporting error in early articles that he kicked her out there or if he changed his story.

She's getting a lot of heat on SM and he's getting a lot of defense. It upsets me; seems people think her life matters less because of her choices.

Wow, she looks much younger than 28 yrs. She looks like that actress on Modern Family, the middle child. I hope she is OK, but this does not look good. And OMG what kind of person kicks an inebriated female out of a car anywhere any time ever - but especially at night? Oh, he probably didn't; It's all lies from him; and that's why she is missing. OMG.

I can't find a good map of the edges of Berkeley County. It seems like the Piggly Wiggly in Summerville is juuuuuust inside Berkeley, but if it's in Dorchester and he/LE mean the one in Moncks Corner, 24 min from Sunoco and near a large body of water... that's a different story.

If this is the Sunoco off of I26, he really had a straight shot to all those wooded (and some wetland) areas right up near MM 187-194 (Jedberg and past that). It sucks to say that, but all those woods out there... I don't know if they'll ever find her, if he did something to her.

Yeah, it gets really rural really fast out that way. Doesn't seem like we have much to go on, though. Local media doesn't seem too interested and LE has him in custody so I guess they just hope he cracks.

Eta: if it's the Sunoco farther up College Park more towards Sangaree, that leads everything in a different direction. But this does look like the freeway one.

My husband theorized that since given EB's record and lying about his age, he seems to be going after young girls - and if she also lied about her age on her Kik profile maybe the truth came out from one or both parties and lead to an altercation - either violent or kicking her out...

I hope they find the poor girl soon.

I apologize. I've read everything and viewed the images, but I still don't follow the timeline. He kicked her out, but then she was seen returning to his car, then she disappeared?

I just don't follow when she was seen getting back into the car.

Early reports have him saying he kicked her out at a gas station. Later he's started saying it was at a Piggly Wiggly 13 minutes away.

Eta now that I've got extra time:

Shortly after midnight, she enters the Sunoco and leaves and gets back in the car.

EB says not long after midnight, he kicked her out near the Piggly Wiggly.

Looked it up and there IS a Kangaroo station near but not RIGHT by the Pig. There is one right next door to that Sunoco, though. So it's either a reporting error or he changed his story. Given current charges, maybe the latter? Jmo

It always ends the same way when someone starts changing their story multiple times. :(

I was told once, the truth doesn't change-you cannot add to or take away from it.

So sad. Wish there was something I could do to help

I kept thinking the PW in question was the one I used to shop at, but that was the one in Ladson, and I read that it closed in 2013. No wonder I couldn't get my head around the map. But to be fair, Ladson, Summerville and No. Chas. have some blurred lines. (Not on a map, but when driving around).

That said, do we know exactly which store he booted her out at?

Yeah, me too. So close to home, but it doesn't seem anyone's searching. Or wants to. Just want to criticize her.

Hopefully LE has more luck with getting EB to sing.

Per MSM, the father of her third child died in January in a car accident; now this? Leaving behind an orphan... :(

Yeah, her sister and I are on a local group and I told of there was anything she needed. I know some people wanted to search but there's just no organized effort. That would drive me crazy. Would TES do a search here? Sooo many places though...

Give me a shout if something does get organized. I'm also surprised at the lack of media coverage in general. No articles for two days? I'm a transplant, is that normal for here?

Re: TES - They might, but I think her family has to request it.

I'm a transplant too, so I'm not sure. Very surprising! But I've been disappointed by the media here in general. I'll let you know if I hear anything

Man held was missing woman’s Internet date, Dorchester County investigators say
Edward Bonilla, 30, of Mabeline Road in Hanahan was arrested because of discrepancies in his version of what happened after he picked up 28-year-old Ashley Pegram from her home, Capt. Tony Phinney said Monday.

“There’s a problem with his timeline,” Phinney said.

Pegram’s family told deputies she left their house in Clemson Terrace around 9:30 p.m. April 3 with a man in a slate blue 2005 Hyundai Sonata. They never heard from her again.

Pegram’s sister tracked down the man through messages on the cellphone she and her sister share. Pegram didn’t take the phone, credit cards or other identification with her when she went out on the date, according to the incident report.
