Circumstances of Disappearance:
Crockett went missing from Taylor's Grove, South Carolina on August 12, 1977. He was last seen at Rankin’s Grocery on U.S. 521 some time after 7:00 pm. Witnesses reported he was talking with an unknown person inside a vehicle that was parked in the median on U.S. 521. He has never been heard from again.

Despite searches conducted by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Crockett was never located. His family believes that he met with foul play. He was declared legally dead seven years after his disappearance, but his whereabouts remain unknown.
