This is EXACTLY what made my hinky meter go off when I saw the pics. Girl can manually type in everyone else's name under the sun EXCEPT for Brittanee's - you know, Brittanee, the girl who is now MISSING after going on a spring break trip with YOU???!!!!! Um, excuse me, but why doesn't she deserve your recognition again???

I am now going to go out there and postulate something..... if we are to believe reports that brittanee walked ten blocks to the boys hotel to return something...only to get called back to the girls place to return the shorts.... she is last caught on tape walking into..and shortly out of the boys hotel with purse on her side and flip flops on her feet (all said items le is looking for that are missing with her).. that being said, is it possible during her ten block walk back to the girls room that she was intercepted by a perp? I am thinking she was picked up by a perp who had local knowledge of the area including the rivers and swampy areas in which her phone last pinged. While the boy and girl groups seem like they could be good for this... we are not yet aware of any activity on their parts via the same cameras....

this ten block strip concerns me greatly..... far more than the idiots she was traveling and associating with prior to her disappearance.. moo.. of course

I agree, because it would have been dark by the time she was returning, wouldn't it? and walking all that distance ALONE, especially being very pretty and very petite... that seems to me to be a very vulnerable time...

The idea that was posted awhile back (I'm sorry I don't remember who posted!) that she could have been offered a ride...

She has ties to Tampa. The teen's father and extended family live in the Bay area.
While Brittanee lives with her mother in New York, she visits her father in Florida from time to time. Her family says she was supposed to spend Spring Break at her father John's home in Carrollwood but she made a snap decision to go to Myrtle Beach with her friends instead.

She was adopted by Chad. Her bio-dad is John Kahyaoglu is from Tampa.Don't know why she does not have father's name which is also in MB searching for B.

IMO, with posters talking about contacting people, I thought it would be good to post that reminder before it got to the phone calling and WS name using stage. And BTW, didn't a recent emailing incident get us all in trouble recently? So even emailing has to be done carefully. And I hope everyone is using throwaway emails and such. I'd hate to see fellow posters get spanked for TOS violations or put themselves in danger through the people they contact.

Gotcha. I guess the best thing to say is never use the Websleuths name when contacting anyone. If you feel the need to call anyone involved in any of these cases, stop and ask your self how you'd react to someone calling you in a similar circumstance. My suggestion is to just leave them alone, except for email, and then it's dicey. If they post something on the net then you can question them about it but if you're cold contacting anyone think twice. JMO

It's possible that some was watching and stalking her. You just never know. I'm sure spring break brings out the creepiest of creeps to these hot spots. I can't get past this group of so called friends though.

Also has anyone heard why the boyfriend didn't go with her? Kinda strange she went on a trip 14+ hours away with a bunch of young people and her boyfriend didn't go. do we know for sure the boy friend was still at home? maybe this is a jealous boy friend type situation? I would think most people would not be comfortable with their girlfriend or boy friend going out of town with people of the oppsite sex to party. JMO

In this PDF POLICE REPORT http://rochesterhomepage.net/media/pdf/drexelreport1.pdf , look on the 2nd page, near the bottom of the Narrative, you see the girls had moved to the Boardwalk Motel, rm#1435. Doesn't give a date or time of the move.

Because it has NOT been clear in any of the news reports what time the girls headed back to Rochester, it seems like there is a typo in this narrative.
It says, "as of 4/26/09 (Sunday) 5:20PM none of the above had yet heard from her or seen her."

The report was filed at 4:51am on 4/26, so the '5:20pm' on 4/26/09 doesn't make sense.


It states the Officer 'telephoned' these contacts and confirmed the same info the Marine had given him-that her 'traveling friends' hadn't seen her since 8pm. That makes me think they were already on their way back to Rochester. You would think they'd be present for the questioning IF they were still in town unless the Officer was lax in his initial investigation and didn't visit them at the Boardwalk Motel. I hope that's not the case.

And why was she going on holiday states away with kids she barely knew? What were her "real" friends doing for SB? Why was she not with them?

When I was a senior and I did the whole spring break thing, I didn't necessarily go with my best friends. I went with one of my friends that I hung out with a lot because she had family there, and she was going. Her boyfriend came along, I kinda knew him, we'd gone to school together since junior high. We all chipped in for gas... it actually wasn't that much of a drive and the location wasn't as big as other places are for spring break.

I just really wanted to do the spring break trip before I graduated and I could afford it that year. My best friend didn't come along, I think she had to work, being the teenager I was, I was sad about that.

Writing this and thinking about the expenses of the trip, I wonder if these girls used her to help pay their way. It seems odd that the trip didn't bring them closer. I know I was closer to the friend I went with by the time we got home.

Excluding her name from the pictures sees horribly passive aggressive, and just plain insensitive to her disappearance:slap:. And I don't know if it is just me, but Brittnee seems to show them more "buddie" stuff in the pictures than they show her. Letting her walk alone :steamed: would just be more of their snotty behavior. Leaving without her:furious: could be too... but I think that in their gut they knew something had happened to Brittnee or they did it. :rage:

If something had happened to my friend or her boyfriend I don't think I would want to put the pictures up from the trip like that, it would be hard just to look at them. Even if I went with people I didn't know well, I would be a mess. The last thing I would be thinking about would be pictures.

I think that if the boyfriend had "issues" we would have heard of it my now, at least I would hope so. Her mom probably would've mentioned something, or even the "friends" she was with would have thrown his out there because he really does have problems, or because they would want to scapegoat him.

I would think that most boyfriends would be at least nervous, but to tell you the truth, there really weren't any pictures that implicated she was really close to any of the guys. I don't think there were any pictures with just her and one of the guys. I could be wrong though. She seems trustworthy.

Yes, some creep who was hiding out looking for girls separated from friends and drunk (or not, but alone).

I think the guys left that night because they were out of drugs. She went to the room to get whatever she left, was propositioned (probably rudely) and turned him/them down, left. They thought "this night is a bust, there are no girls here, let's go". They didn't bring enough drugs with them (fear of searches) and thought they could go "salvage the night" - none of them picked up a girl and they were bored - 1 or 2 a.m. at that age is still EARLY!

As far as the girls, they feel guilty or maybe they were high too - B didn't come back and maybe they were jealous, they thought she was having a fun time with guys, passive aggressive behavior they displayed and left. Jealous beetches, but that is all.

B was probably watched by a psycho. The thing is those a-hole "young men" will and should kick themselves forever - I can't believe not one of them offered to walk her back...the whole thing is strange. Maybe they did and she declined OR they were doing something in the room she wanted to get away from (coke, pot...?) and that is why she left so quick. That's the reason they didn't have concern for her.

If she was walking down the "strip" of MB, it isn't dark at all. There are lights and people everywhere...especially this time of year. That being said, at that age, I'd just hop in a car with someone and go when I was there for vacation with my friends. It's not unlikely that she did the same.

Sadly I do think you're absolutely correct. I'd gathered she walked on the beach, right? If so that was a bad move. Back when I lived half a block from the beach in Ormond (FL) over ten years ago it wasn't safe to go on the beach at night - not there and not in Daytona. Too many creeps lurked in the shadows. Can't think MB would be any different or any better.

My prayers that she will be found safely...and for her loved ones...

ETA if she walked back to the motel using the street I'd think her chances of getting there would be a lot better, aside from her accepting a ride or things like that which have been mentioned by others...

My theory on JO not naming Brittanee in her pics is because she is jealous of her and doesn't want Brittanee taking away attention from her. All teenage girls love hearing how pretty they are from their peers, and it's obvious Brittanee stood out in that group.

Were these girls new friends or friends she has known for a long time, just not well?

i cant help but wonder if whoever got her took advantage of the fires that were going on around the time they were there to find a place to hide her body. Also none of the 3 boys questioned were in that girls facebook pics. It is possible that they didnt have anything to do with it since they came seperate from the rest of that group right? i mean B rode with Jennifer(so I saw on here)so there would be no reason for Peter to wait on her to go back. That whole scene is confusing.I also wonder if B's boyfriend actually spoke to her on the phone while she was there or was just getting text because if it was just text, it may not have even been her texting. it could have been whoever had her trying to cover up and pretend to be her texting until they could figure out when it was okay to decide to tell someone she was missing-or when it was okay for someone to think she was missing. Also didnt someone say she was going to return some black shorts? if thats so why did she have the black shorts on her body when she exited the hotel? If you are going to return something normally you have it in a bag or at least something else to put on when you give them back.

Sorry if this has been covered. Did the police check with the girls to see if they have the shorts in question? Also, does anyone know how the BF got in touch with the girls about B missing? I find it very strange that her mother didn't know them but yet the BF was the 1st one out of someone not in MB to know she was missing.

I agree with an earlier poster. It sounds like a stranger abduction to me. The fact her cell phone pings in South Georgetown/north Charleston County. This is some rural area near the water. I think she was abducted and killed her body and stuff (cell) phone dumped off HWY 17 in this area going towards Charleston.

The Myspace guy worries me a little only because Perps sometimes like to interject themselves into the case. Seabrook is very close to this area where the ping hits. People are weird so you never know? Perhaps he is listing an area where she can be found but claiming his is psychic? Hopefully, LE knows about this person?
