Hi Rose,
I think the information about the search being posted anywhere officially is incorrect and it is not on CUE's website. This is why I question how the information was leaked to the public.

listen its on there FB site i know im friends with them,so whatever,,,, does it truly matter why? important thing is that SOMEONE is Searching for Britt!!!! thats all that should really mattter is Britt is found!! this is so child like Britt is the reason shes been missing way to long!!! maybe they have there reasons to keep it Hush hush??????????

Thank you RoseC. There may very well be a legit reason why the search is being kept on the 'down low'. MOO

thinking about you B.

don't know why the search hasn't been "publicized," and can't really think of a forum for that to take place unless they are searching for a specific reason.

I suppose they'd have to go to the media and inform them of the search and maybe that just hasn't been done...whether there's a reason or not.

hate looking too deeply into things like this.

hoping there IS a search this weekend and hoping it answers a lot of questions.

From what I recall the last search wasn't really advertised until like the day before it happened.

Monica Caison with the CUE Center for Missing Persons said the search will happen along Old Georgetown Road off Rutledge Road in Charleston County.

Caison said 15 ATV's, 37 horses, 11 dogs, and 100 people on the ground will assist in the search efforts.

Caison said the search area is one the group has not thoroughly combed through yet. Dawn Drexel, Brittanee's mom, arrived in the area Thursday night.

This is the same area there "was a new tip;then there wasn't a tip" a couple months back.

Hii Guys , been popping in to see the progress of this case a few times a week .. logged in today to Bump for Britt and to say what a marvelous job you guys are doing :D

last night i logged in to MyYearbook and after many months ... i might add i'm not active there at all , the layout is just too confusing for me lol .... i noticed a friends request from Catherine , i noticed in her pofile Georgetown , which immediately gave me the shivers and thought of Britt .... i noticed one of her contacts using Britt as her profile pic and wanted to share it http://www.myyearbook.com/?mysession=cmVnaXN0cmF0aW9uX3Byb2ZpbGUmdXNlcmlkPTI4MDA4NDI4 .... i havent seen anything new listed on your profile page since june last year tho .....

Wishing you guys an awesome weekend , praying for a closure to this unsolved case :D

This weekend search will take place Saturday and Sunday and will center around an area along Old Georgetown Road off Rutledge Road in Charleston County. Over 200 people are expected to help in the search. Crews searched parts of this location in November 2010, but were not able to cover the entire area last time.

"This little girl has just disappeared and we're going to do everything we can to try to find her," said Monica Caison, executive director of the CUE Center for Missing Persons. "It's going to be a successful search either way because we've eliminated one more space if she's not here."

Volunteers spent Friday prepping for the weekend search. They will use horses and dogs in the search which is centering around McClellanville because a cell phone tower there received a signal from her cell phone after Drexel went missing.
