If I had to guess, I suspect that the man who brought her to that South Carolina deathtrap is the same man who raped her first and killed her.

What is wrong with people in that small South Carolina community that they allowed this to happen?

<modsnip>

Reading from afar, the fact that Brittany Drexel was abducted from her hotel and transported to a location where she was held against her Will for several days, and then killed ... and no one saw anything for five days.

What? Do the people in that community think the world is as stupid as they are?

I live in a very small community in a very rural part of the country much like G-town & McC.... folks here are generally related to everyone else in one way or another. The bad guys tend to frighten the good folks into silence because 'snitches don't last long'. Now, having said that we are not 'from here' and aren't related to any of the locals but they did try to frighten us just the same... didn't work because my family is LE and I know better. I just told them 'you don't have any idea who I am related to' and left it at that, then I put out the word that my family is LE and wouldn't you know it, the bad guys stopped bothering us. But most folks just turn a blind eye and let them go on behaving badly because fear is a great motivator. I hope that the LE get them ALL, every person involved in this crime, and have all their ducks lined up so that the perps all spend a very long time in prison.

Absolutely! Just trying to connect some dots.

I'm doing the same. What I have notice a number of the ****s are currently in jail and I wonder if this blitz was timed so people may feel freer to come forward? I hope so, looks like there is a big trafficking problem. How can people keep silent if they know this is going on, how could you sleep at night? Surely, people want a safe place to live. Now is the perfect time people to step-up.

I think the FBI talking directly to the "good people" will have a real effect. I wonder if any of this clan have dealt with the FBI and FED's? They are probably used local LE and know the politics within. FBI is a big deal to me.

I don't really think it's a good idea to attempt to identify the person who came forward to reveal that Brittanee was alive for several days and that she was held against her will. That person is obviously in need of protection from some very dangerous people in the community, perhaps including some investigators and religious figures.

The prison population is quite large.... and Didnt you just do that( attempt to identify) by including investigators and religious figures?

There is a member of this family RKT [andall] [eith] [aylor] that has a record in Alabama. He was charged at one point in the Shannon McConaughey's disappearance and murder, but charges were dismissed...

I didn't get any results searching that name on this link. I think the last three letters of his name are actually [ELL]. (Multiple news reports have it misspelled.) But, I didn't find anything using the [ELL] spelling either. I'm probably doing something wrong though.

On BeenVerified, he was the FM w/ the most criminal charges... BY FAR.

If it helps he was arrested for 1st degree assault in Montgomery County AL on 5/22/16. It comes up for me :-/

Here's another link to put that name into http://mcso.mc-ala.org/pubquery/login.aspx

Way back in the beginning it was said that they were putting BD in a deck of cards sold to inmates throughout the state. I really think they have someone talking within the prison system. JMO

Yes, Coolj, it was back in 2010 when BD's Photo & Info was distributed among jail and prison inmates. The Inmate Poker Card program and idea was by CUE members Doug & Mary Lyall; parents of missing UAlbany student Suzanne Lyall ... The Lyalls were the force behind getting Suzanne's Federal Law, passed, and the Missing/Murdered persons memorial in Albany, NY. The Inmate Poker Card has been extremely effective in many missing/murdered persons investigations across the nation.

I like to be inclusive when discussing possible suspects.

Agree. I would check some local cops out as well that supposedly resigned due to corruption in the past years.

Because the Taylors definitely had some kind of connection at the time.

Maybe they ran the meth scene for awhile and certain law enforcement officers turn their heads while getting a taste. Jmo

Because if the Taylors are this untouchable for rapes and abductions.

Then they either had the best lawyers or great inside connections that helped them along the way. Jmo.

That's exactly what can happen in a small town. And very likely why the local cops weren't in on the PC

i think the suspects and witnesses are going to be quite intertwined in this case. In other words, they are one in the same.JMO

I wonder if Georgetown was actually at the Press Conference but just not mentioned? I really can't imagine why they wouldn't be included.

Anyone know who is responsible for the "age progression" drawing ? I know who the forensic artist is. But who paid her? Family or LE?

Never made much sense to me as an "age progression" drawing. Not much age progression from 17 to 20 yrs old in anybody.

Very possible bestill. The GPD Chief has a very impressive resume..

I highly doubt they paraded Brittanee around the streets of McClellanville for 5 days. They definitely didn't buy her clean clothes or a toothbrush. It's more likely she was chained and/or drugged the entire time. Hidden away from everyone except those involved. Yes there is a family with lots of ties to the area who seem to get away with a lot, but the whole community isn't guilty. JMO.

Doesn't make much sense to me either, you don't age much in five days.

I think I read somewhere that CUE paid someone to do it as a gift to her mother.

One thing that is still bugging me is that FBI said Britt "traveled" to McC. Not was brought there or taken to there but "traveled." Also they said that she was held against her will a "portion" of the time. Does that wording seem strange to anyone else or is it just me?

She could have gone willingly with someone, unaware of their intentions. She could have been considered a traveler to another place initially but once she tried to leave and was not allowed to, she is being held against her will. There are many cases where a young lady gets into a vehicle without coercion and is never seen or heard from again.

Come on Dex,that's not fair to speculate LE as being involved in meth with nothing to back it up.JMO.

Well, in Florida it appeared as though some LE were looking the other way as the father of two young children bought, sold and used drugs all across the county....then when his daughter went missing some LE continued to shelter Dad. Seems to me they might have feared what could come out about them rather than him during a missing child investigation. Now, nothing was ever proved against any LE and no charges ever brought because it was all speculation based on behaviors all the players exhibited including some LE, but just because nothing came of it does not mean it didn't happen. Sometimes those we think we can trust do something that blows that trust and often it comes as a total surprise to everyone.

I see no reason at this point to think that LE might be covering for someone in Britt's case but you just never know. Someone is covering for a bunch of someones. So...don't be surprised at anything that might come to light.
