I'm so glad Dashaun has been named publicly and we can talk about him. Can we talk about why he was released from prison on August 22?!

The article says he posted bail. Is there something I'm missing?

There must be physical evidence for them to believe the inmate's story. LE is so sure she's dead.

The only thing I can think that you may be missing is why he was offered bail in the first place?

Why is it that the families of the suspects always make like they are next in line for sainthood?

Gotcha. I am guessing the judge allowed bail and at that low amount because he's being charged with a crime he already was sentenced for and served time for on the state level. The judge knows these charges would have never happened if he wasn't a suspect in BD's case, and jailhouse informants are notoriously unreliable. Not saying the informant lied, but I bet the judge took that into consideration. Also, from the cases I have followed, the feds seem to be more lenient about holding ppl in custody as they await trial on federal charges.

Because they have been manipulated and lied to IMO.

I have been busy at work and off WS all day then overheard this on the news DH was watching! I came running to see. But nothing much new other than a "jailhouse confession". We will see how it pans out.

Still think of Britt daily. I really wish justice were swift in this case. I hope her family takes comfort in knowing how much Brittany is loved by so many who never knew her.

Did not the Moorers' Judge say EVERYONE has the right to Bail? BS.

I would like to think there is a strategic reason this is happening. Otherwise, it just looks like he is walking away with no consequences. I had high hopes for the FBI's involvement. This has to be a crushing disappointment to Brittanee's parents. :(

wm, he was more of less named as suspect in this article. Quote:

BBM.

Mod, please authorize if needed.

Since he was mentioned as a possible suspect he can be discussed.

ugggh my heart hurts so bad. I've been following Brittanee's case for a long time. Rest In Peace sweet girl.

Alligators can be found in all bodies of water along the coast here. Even the nicer neighborhoods have ponds which may harbor the creatures. My kids would see baby gators floating in the pond off the golf course as they road the bus to school. I was always afraid for the kids to ride by the ponds or to stop and fish or play. They are everywhere.

Seems to me that with a case this size that the "witness" would have been taken for a country ride to ID the "stash house" and a search warrant subsequently issued would lead to a crime scene discovery. Alligator pit sounds like a bad Tarzan movie IMO.
