Michael Manigualt was a quick witness right after lunch. He knows John Mello (Father of victim's daughter) and defendant #ZacharyHughes. On cross-exam he said of the defendant, "He's a good man in my opinion. That's off the record".

Deputy Blake Wolfe is on the stand. They executed a search warrant at a home they discovered by searching through #ZacharyHughes phone. There was a trail camera at that home, they obtained the footage and saw photos of Hughes in a hoodie that looked like it could match the suspect's hoodie.

Vanessa Kormylo who served as the guardian ad litem for John Mello and Christina Parcell's daughter has taken the stand in the Rose Petal Murder trial.
Regarding Mello, Kormylo testified, "His communications were unlike anything I ever encountered as guardian, and so they continued to escalate.”
She told the court that Mello would tell her that she always needed to be looking over her shoulder, that he was coming after her license, that she was going to get arrested for criminal charges that she was "definitely going to jail.”
Kormylo: "Even though I had reason to be concerned about Mr. Mello and how he conducted himself. I also had a duty to investigate the allegations he was making against the mother.”
According to Kormylo, had the custody case gone to trial prior to Parcell's death and she was asked about custody, she would have recommended Parcell having custody.
When asked if Mello would have been aware of her position prior to Parcell's murder, Kormylo says, "He would definitely have been aware of my motion to have him psychologically evaluated.”
Kormylo testified that there is a mechanism in family court that says if you don't visit your child willfully for six months, and if you don't pay child support for your child for a period of six months, your rights can actually be terminated if the court determines that to the child's best interests.
Christina Parcell's murder occurred almost 6 months after the child was returned home from Italy. Mello had not seen his child in almost 6 months.
Hughes' attorney is arguing that Kormylo's testimony about her potential recommendation regarding custody has opened the door to the child po**ography evidence.
The State is arguing that every question they asked of Kormylo goes to show the motive for the murder.

I think that’s the right call.
Bradley Post is an awful individual and he will have his day in court.
This is Zach Hughes trial for murdering Parcells.
A lot of talk about CP being involved in Post’s disgusting endeavors but pretty much all of it comes directly from Mello.

Just wondering, I was watching the stream of the trial and it seemed like today the testimony suddenly shifted to LE and their investigation of ZH.
Did I miss something because I don’t remember any testimony on why LE decided they even needed to investigate him. Was it just because he was a friend of Mello?

I can't understand why someone would get involved romantically with Bradley Post, he appears to be so repulsive. It's such a strange case. IMO, Mello is being painted as completely deranged but surely any person would lose their mind if they knew their daughter was *allegedly* being subjected to abuse by such an offender and nobody was listening to them? JMO MOO

You are correct! I had it wrong. The trail camera photos of #ZacharyHughes were from two day before the murder.

Day 4 of the Rose Petal Murder trial has begun. GCSO Investigator Dan Bevill has taken the stand.
Bevill investigated the envelopes sent to various individuals containing nude photos of Parcell on escort websites.
Bevill was asked to compare two of the posts within the envelopes. He testified the words were the same, but the font, text and alignment differed.
The second envelope entered into evidence was addressed to Bradly Post's home with his PO Box as the return address. Post's last name was misspelled on the second envelope "Poast”…
Bevill testifies Christina Parcell's name is not on any of the advertisements mailed.
So far envelopes address to Bradly Post, Bradly Poast and Vanessa Kormylo have been entered into evidence.
During direct, Bevill stated cross examination, Bevill told the jury when he typed the url for the escort site into a search engine it no longer existed and redirected to another escort site.
On cross examination Bevill testified it is possible the website existed at one point.
