The judge does not allow camera for anything outside the jury so we did not see and will not see any of these arguments. He has now taken a break to make his decision on allowing this defense.

To sum up - The defense admits #ZacharyHughes killed Christina Parcell and says he did it in defense of her minor daughter due to allegations of ongoing sexual abuse/exploitation. IF the judge allows this, the likely witnesses for the defense would be Christina's daughter, her daughter's father John Mello and Zachary Hughes himself.

That’s a ridiculous argument.
If the defense’s motive is correct, then the defense is proposing that vigilante justice should be the law of the land. The judge cannot allow that no matter what leads to it.
Bradley Post is a disgusting man. His day in court will arrive and I hope they throw him under the jail. Nobody knows if CP was involved in Post’s crimes. We only have Mello’s social media accusations. We don’t know if LE has real evidence of that.
The only mystery here is why LE has not been able to bring charges of conspiracy against Mello.
This is a murder trial. The rest will come later.

A court filing in a lawsuit is not evidence. We don’t know what LE has on CP’s involvement in anything.
If she was involved she’s as bad as Post. I am not defending her, but I am defending our justice system.
KH went into a house he’d never visited and murdered a woman he never met. What if somebody else would have been there, would he have killed them?
Try the murder.

I agee.

But more so, because I think it is extremely likely that ZH will be LYING when he claims his motive was defending the minor.

How did he, supposedly, get access to this CP material that no one else knew about?

Did he know the child? Had he ever met her? Had he ever met Christine?

Can he prove that he had copies of this material that was apparently only found on BP's phone by police?

Not even John Mello knew about it. (Because that would imply JM ordered ZH to kill Christine).

If it was anything to do with CP, why not report it? Why not kill BP?

What kind of message was he sending to this supposedly "demon" mother that he scattered rose petals around?

It's very easy to push people's buttons on this.

A guaranteed little button: press it and people automatically react without thinking.

How did the Richard Allen defense miss that: Claim that the two victims were exploiting younger siblings by making CP, and presto, not guilty by reason of being a hero, protecting the vulnerable from exploitation.

Court has resumed for the afternoon. The defense has called GCSO investigator Dan Bevill to the stand.

After questioning Bevill extensively on his responses while on the stand last week, solicitor Walt Wilkins objects. The jury is removed from the courtroom.

Once the jury is out of the room, Wilkins argues that calling Bevill to the stand solely for the purpose of impeaching his previous testimony is improper.

Judge Fant overrules the objection.

Defense says they would have asked Bevill about his 2018 investigation into Post and that it would have revealed Bevill failed to uncover that the sexual abuse was happening to Parcell and Mello's daughter at that time.

Defense attorney Andy Moorman is giving the court summaries of proffered testimonies that were ruled inadmissable by judge Fant. This is being done to protect the record on appeal.


All of the proffer testimony the defense is summarizing for the court relates to the investigation into the CSAM found on Post's devices following her death. Wilkins objects and says that it's repetitive and involves a lot of victim shaming.



The judge agrees and asks the defense to speak in generalities. Tells Moyer he does not need to get into specifics and he will be protected on the record.



The defense is listing the exhibits they would have introduced if they had been allowed to present the CSAM evidence to the jury. Including multiple devices containing thousands of images and videos.



One one drive alone they stated there were over 4000 images and 48 videos. It's hard to ignore how drastically this would have changed the defense's case if they had been allowed to present it to the jury.

Again, the judge isn't allowing #ZacharyHughes to bring the child abuse in for his defense and reasoning for killing #ChristinaParcell - to protect her from her mother and Bradley Post.
