Circumstances of Disappearance:
Patterson went missing from Kershaw, South Carolina on October 16, 2006. His sister had taken him to the doctor and brought him back to her residence on Fork Hill Road. She went inside the house while Patterson stayed outside. Five minutes later around 4:00 PM, she came back outside and saw him walking towards the intersection of Pleasant Plains Road near his residence, also on Fork Hill Road. He has never been heard from again. Despite extensive searches in the area, Patterson was never located, but searchers did find his hat and one of his shoes.

Patterson was in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease at the time of his disappearance. His family hopes he is still alive. His case is unsolved and his whereabouts remain unknown.
