This man was a live-in Dept of Mental Health patient whose name was unknown throughout admission. He was apparently admitted through Rock Hill in 1987. Newspaper searches show the state of SC was going through a transition in 1986/7 in providing for mental health patients (and particularly elderly) moving from a state run program to a privately run program with many transfers taking place. My guess is that this man could potentially be a victim of lost paperwork, if there ever was any at all.
