Dennis Hunter left his house in Simpsonville, SC on 07/21/03. His pick-up truck, motorcycle, wallet, & a bag filled with clothes were found at Douglas Dam in east Tennessee.

I found where they found this guys skeletal remains this year (2019) not too far from where the truck was found. called in the tip and left my number in case they needed to ask me anything but have not heard anything back. I hope they are following up on it cause it was very likely him.

Hi, I'm wondering if you ever heard back from investigators? I happened to come across this case today and was happy to find that someone had called it in. This is a very unusual situation, to have a "possible name" on an unidentified decedent. If you have any updates to share, I'd really appreciate it.

His NamUS is down, and so is the NamUS for that John Doe (I'm an admin for Unidentified Wiki and was checking the status of NamUS pages and discovered this). I wonder if he turned out to be that John Doe.

I am wondering if anyone has any new info, this was my father I was 13 when he left us. He left after trying to kill my mother,only being stopped by my little brother, he put motorcycle in his truck and I never heard or saw from him again. No I love you son nothing it's been hard but I will survive and come out stronger. My mother, in the years following this drank herself to death passing in 2015, Sandra hunter. My younger brother is very badly addicted to drugs and in and out of prison. I just want some closure and to move on I still struggle financially and emotionally bc of this. I had to put Bill's in my name for us 3 to survive and of course my mother couldn't always pay the bills bc alcohol was more important but I still loved my mother to her last breath. $dmhunter90 is my cash app and if anyone has information plz let me know.
