Yes but my mind has not accepted this news yet so I'm keeping it together. I'm not going to watch any videos of Faye tonight and avoiding anything describing her personality, likes etc. or any footage of her family talking about her. I have to be careful, I fell into a severe depression over Cherish Perriwinkle in 2013 when I was pregnant. It took a long time and it sort of eclipsed my son's first year. It happened again with the baby who was left in the swing. He was the same age as my third baby. My husband doesnt get it at all, most people dont. None of these things upset him for more than a few minutes, he can just forget about stuff. I fall to pieces.
Cherish Perriwinkle’s death was sooo brutal as well. I feel you. That was so upsetting for so many reasons.
Just stay strong for your babies and hold them close. <3

Such sad news to hear tonight. Poor little girl was apparently in her own yard, and this neighbor man lured her away.

It is a stark reality of why children aren’t safe playing in their yards alone today. RIP Faye, may God hold your family and friends close.

I'd be curious to find out how many of you websleuthers are empaths like me.

I'm absolutely wrecked by this case right now. Thinking of you sweet girl. You were so loved.

I most definitely am. These cases destroy me.

So brokenhearted to hear this news. So many sweet missing children in the news lately. I'm thankful that precious Faith was found relatively soon. However, it's sad to know that today's kids cannot have the freedom to play outside that I had as a child.

The kids who particularly wrecked me....Zahra Baker, Jessica Ridgeway, Sandra Cantu, Shaniya, Samantha Runnion, Somer, Dylan.....so many, ... & particular adults...Meredith for one and her dog Ella (felt the need to send a donation each of the following 4 years to the Longmont Rescue org. in her name).
May have to take a break again with Faye....

Home security footage could help in search for Faye Swetlik, missing Cayce 6-year-old

No breaking news, just updates & a story about Faye once looking for a lost dog. More at link under local news.

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. — One local business owner is hoping to find missing 6-year-old Faye Swetlik after the child and her grandmother helped her just a year ago.

Rachel Hames lost her dog a year ago, and Switlek and her grandmother helped her search until the dog was found.

If I don’t provide a link, it’s MOO

If I don’t reply, I don’t see you.....
Trudie,

BBM above.
This post, shows this sweet little girl and her grandmother helping search for a lost dog.
I can imagine how happy she was when the dog was found.
This fact brings me so much emotion: a young, innocent sweetie no longer here.
There will be so many other stories, about Faye's short, innocent life, which I hope was filled with joy.
RIP Faye.

Yep! Would stay at the Country Inn Suites and eat at Shoney's. Why is it called Cayce instead of Kershaw?
Cayce, SC and Kershaw, SC are two separate cities located about 60 miles apart from each other.

ETA: I think the pastor in Kershaw simply felt this loss so deeply that he felt moved to hold a vigil for Kaye.

Kids are actually safer today than when you were a child. The only difference is that we are aware of the dangers now, and are more connected than we have ever been.

The perception doesn’t match the reality.

Here’s a summary from a few different articles, and a couple of those articles. It’s about 5 years old, but nothing has changed.

Contrary to popular belief, kids in America are way safer than they've been in decades

This is near Kershaw? I did not realize. My husband would race the Carolina track there twice a year and there were only 2 motels to stay with one always being raided by SWAT for drug activity.

If your question is if Cayce is close to Kershaw the answer is not really. They are about 70 miles apart. Kershaw County is a little closer at about 50 miles.

I'll never understand things like this.

Never.

That’s what my mind says, I just wish somebody would explain it to my heart.

Now that I think about it Kershaw was so small that we had to drive a ways to eat and sleep so it was Cayce we stayed in a couple times after the Kershaw motel incident.

Maybe you stayed in Camden? It is very close to Kershaw and a much bigger town. Kershaw and Cayce are about an hour apart.

The first thing that I did was get on Google Earth from where her house Is located in the first thing I seen was the Dirt Pile and she likes to dig rocks and then I see Woods....and all children like Woods. Why wasn't there a search with dogs there in the first place? Just curious to see what you think about that? 3 days... And this is not to put down any of the investigative skills by any means. Just wondering if there's a quicker way.jmo 250 people and right there?! I guess it would be all about the timing when the jerk put her there possibly... The rest is hard to imagine. I know that area if we remove the newscasters, but already the Crime scene was being tainted. Jmo

I just saw this sad sad news on twitter. :(
I’m behind and don’t know anything about the case. Did they ever find the cars in the footage? And what is this in the tree?
