Certainly looks to be a well documented history of failure to comply with basic traffic and vehicle ownership issues IMO. Any information on why he had such issues with compliance?

Do we know why he dropped out or was no longer attending University of South Carolina?

Do we know if CT had possibly lost his license or had a suspension and this was why he didn't own a car?

We see the 2019 Car Repo'd but do we know if this was due to non payment or license suspension or other issue - driving without insurance happened in 2018?

Do we know if CT had access to a family owned vehicle or possibly roommates vehicle and drove it without a licence?
I checked records for every county and didn't find any more records for CT. I think he either failed to keep insurance on the car or failed to pay some fine. SC will suspend a driver's license if insurance coverage lapses. I don't know anything about his family. I've seen some mention of them, but nothing verified.

I’ve wondered about cameras at Napa ...
I think so. With the FBI involved and using their protocol in cases like this, there were probably cameras all over that place. jmo
Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to make it seem like I thought it was directed at me. I didn't so it's all good. But I also knew I wanted to be clear that while I could think those things that I don't necessarily agree with them in this case. And with the new information I agree with the way they're handling this more than ever.
Yes, and the new info is sparking new questions...at least for me. As in most of the cases I've followed, LE has turned out to be on top of it!! Thank goodness.

His roommate found CT on the patio bleeding out Thursday morning.

Might the roommate have slept there Wednesday night. The night CT decided he had to get the body out of there. Maybe it was starting to smell and that forced his hand.

If so that Wednesday would have been extremely stressful for the pathetic body-hider. Hiding a dead body in a small apartment with visiting cops and a roommate in the other room? All happening Wednesday afternoon/evening, thus he took the body into the woods in the middle of that night?

he probably stayed up all night dreading the discovery of the body and whether it would be linked to him. The trash search guaranteed it.

The bodies were found between 10 and 11 am

If this is my last post on WS I feel vindicated. Coty Scott Taylor took Faye Marie Swetlik’s life. I am profoundly glad that he is dead.
Often I see people say they like the idea of a perpetrator suffering in prison for their life, having lost their freedom, but I also have no problem with dead perpetrators. Then there’s no court dates. No appeals. No weirdos writing them letters of support. No opportunity for them to taunt the family. No opportunity for them to give interviews to reporters.

Or he's a pedophile. He managed to not lash out and harm children (that we know of) until now. Child sexual predators did not begin with the internet and antidepressants. We have seen hundreds of cases where ordinary men succumb to their sick fantasies and harm children. Most people do not have rage against 6 year old children. Pedophillic sexual predators do.

‘We were definitely going to that house’: New information in suicide of Faye Swetlik murder suspect Coty Taylor [EXCLUSIVE]
The Cayce Department of Public safety has clarified some lingering questions about the death of the man believed to be responsible for the kidnapping and murder of 6-year-old Faye Swetlik.

[...]

“We have vetted the roommate,” Antley said. “There is no evidence at all he knew anything about it.”

[...]

“We were definitely going to that house,” Antley said. He declined to provide further details about the discovery of Taylor’s body but said he had no evidence that Taylor’s roommate witnessed the suicidal act.

Antley said that investigators are still cataloging the several hundred hours of video footage taken from dash cams, body cams, and surveillance cameras in the area. He confirmed that Taylor was seen on surveillance video appearing to take measures to further conceal his crime.

[...]

The video footage “solidifies Taylor’s involvement and him being the person who placed Faye there,” Antley said.

I have been poring over various MSN web sites trying to get additional information that LE will not release. I have no idea why LE refuses since they have already named the murderer. Much of the MSN is repetition of other MSN, mostly word for word. So I decided to try to track down CT's coworkers at Wingstop and his roommate with some success but I did not interact with them. I refuse to use their initials since they are innocents. I also researched Antley's quote: "We have vetted the roommate,” Antley said. “There is no evidence at all he knew anything about it.” and I got only one result from CRIMEONLINE and no other source. Correct me if I am wrong. I hope that the MODS leave this up as an example. JMO

I think its a great example of someone injecting themselves into something that is none of their business. I don't understand why anyone who is not connected would feel it is their place to contact co workers of the dead suspect. But that is just me.

Not many answers to those questions yet. He was driving a moped in 2013, but he could have had a car, too. There were two stops in 2013 only days apart. The first one was 03/27 for failure to obey traffic control devices. That could have been either a moped or a car. The second one was 03/31 for not having a metal plate on the moped. In 2015, he was stopped for disregarding a stop sign, but then was found to be driving under suspension. Since there are no other violations in South Carolina (unless I missed something - I checked all counties), I assume that the suspension was because of failure to pay a fine, maybe since 2013. In 2018, 01/20/2018, he was stopped for failure to dim lights and was charged for that and for having an uninsured vehicle. I think the repo was a direct result of that. A lender (Carmax, in this case) can repossess the car.

"default is defined as the failure to make a payment when it is due, but many contracts also say that other things may be a default. The most common of these things are: taking the car out of state permanently without permission from the lender, or failing to keep insurance on the car, or damaging the car so that its value is reduced."

ETA: My take on this is he was not very organized in spite of his awesome brain power in high school and he was struggling to pay his bills.

I did not contact them nor did I interact with them.

Over the years, too many innocent people were executed for crimes that they did not commit. Dozens of other innocent people were on death row but the truth set them free. Dead suspects cannot talk nor defend themselves. I was curious if CT was home when FS went missing or was he at work? Maybe LE asked CT where he was the day and time that FS went missing. Knowledge needs to be shared or history will repeat itself. The more that other LE agencies know about missing children, the better to prevent tragedies. Too bad LE waited two days to question CT. I don't think it was a matter of "waiting". The sheer number of places to be searched (streams, playgrounds, culverts, manholes etc) and houses to be canvassed over the whole neighborhood would certainly have taken time and manpower. Especially if they were being methodical in their searches.

Keep in mind that it's likely not everyone was home when LE came knocking, either. So follow-ups would have had to have been done. CT's work schedule could have been a major factor in terms of when they were able to contact him in person.

Community prepares for Faye Swetlik's Remembrance service
On Friday Trinity Baptist Church is expected to be filled with thousands to celebrate the life of Faye Swetlik.

[...]

The church can hold about 1,300 people, but attendees are encouraged to show up early. The service is set to start at 7 p.m. and doors will open at 6 p.m.

[...]

... The Cayce Department of Public Safety said before the service police will escort the family with patrol cars. The community has also organized a motorcycle and tow truck entourage. David Bates who owns Diligent Towing said it was a way to bring hundreds together all for Faye.

"It's really to give Faye one last ride," said Bates. He called on the help of local tow companies and bike groups, Bates expects more than 100 bikers and about 50 tow trucks.

I’d be very interested to know if/when he worked Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. If so he was the manager, with a dead body at home!, so did his colleagues notice anything different about him

It seems to me the way CT carried out this whole thing means one of two things. Either this was his first time and he was terrible at being a criminal, or he has done this before and gotten away with it so easily that he was extremely overconfident. The latter is frightening and I hope they thoroughly thoroughly investigate his background

The opening song at Faye’s funeral...
Never knew the middle verse, but seems sadly fitting now. It was Faye’s favorite song.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

The other night dear, as I lay sleepin'
I dreamed, I held you by my side
When I awoke dear, I was mistaken
And I hung my head and I cry

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

I think it's pretty safe to assume Taylor did not have an alibi for when Faye went missing.
