Found Deceased SC - Faye Marie Swetlik, 6, Cayce, 10 Feb 2020 #5

I’d be very interested to know if/when he worked Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. If so he was the manager, with a dead body at home!, so did his colleagues notice anything different about him
Many questions that LE needs to answer and MSN to report.

After how incredibly professional and effective we have seen law enforcement to have been through this entire case, taking five days to investigate before announcing that they've concluded Taylor was the sole perpetrator - if it turns out he had been at work when Faye disappeared I'll eat my hat.

The opening song at Faye’s funeral...
Never knew the middle verse, but seems sadly fitting now. It was Faye’s favorite song.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

The other night dear, as I lay sleepin'
I dreamed, I held you by my side
When I awoke dear, I was mistaken
And I hung my head and I cry

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
When was her private funeral?

I think it's pretty safe to assume Taylor did not have an alibi for when Faye went missing.
You would think. ;)

But his schedule that week would be telling.

This memorial is reminding me of Columbine victim Rachel Scott, who had a public memorial service too. In Rachel's case the church were expecting a few hundred in attendance but several thousand came to say goodbye to her. I'm expecting several thousand to attend Faye's as well, even if a lot of people are standing outside.

I'm wearing my brightest pink blouse for #FayesDay. RIP angel girl!

I understand that it is totally normal and necessary to question things, cause the police do get things wrong but it just weird to see people try to speculate that Taylor maybe innocent even after what LE has stated. I truly believe it is because he does not fit some script that we think a kidnapper and child murderer is. Possibly High IQ, no criminal background and looks like the typical boy next door in his past pictures coupled with other details of the case that we think he would not have done. I think LE from the get-go felt that it was someone in the neighbourhood and putting up roadblocks made it harder to get away with the crime.

This is one reason I like to see the perp face the court system even though it may be hard for the family members, because then we get more information. I am sure some concerned citizen will ensure all the fact are released.

The problem with a dead perp is that family, friends and public will be placing the blame somewhere else. Coty's family I imagine will cop the full brunt of the public's anger, whilst family members of Faye, especially her bio dad and his family, might even eventually point fingers at the mother and her family (for example for letting Faye play outside by herself, I have no opinion on this, just stating what might be an issue in the future). It's going to be a messy next couple of months/years I imagine, especially when public interest and care dies down over the next month or two, everyone involved will need loving support to get through this. The worst is yet to come imo.

It seems to me the way CT carried out this whole thing means one of two things. Either this was his first time and he was terrible at being a criminal, or he has done this before and gotten away with it so easily that he was extremely overconfident. The latter is frightening and I hope they thoroughly thoroughly investigate his background
I agree. The bad thing about him being dead is he can't be questioned. One thing for sure - he won't be doing it again.

Over the years, too many innocent people were executed for crimes that they did not commit. Dozens of other innocent people were on death row but the truth set them free. Dead suspects cannot talk nor defend themselves. I was curious if CT was home when FS went missing or was he at work? Maybe LE asked CT where he was the day and time that FS went missing. Knowledge needs to be shared or history will repeat itself. The more that other LE agencies know about missing children, the better to prevent tragedies. Too bad LE waited two days to question CT. JMO

I agree with part of your post, but I'm puzzled why you are include CT?

It's true others were innocent, and found guilty, but most all of those cases they were found guilty due to either faulty eye witness testimony or LE did not have irrefutable DNA back then linking the suspects to the crimes committed against their victims.

That simply is not the case with CT. Imo, less, and less people who are innocent will be found guilty, and actually more, and can be excluded now.

LE/DA has more than sufficient evidence to prove this case BARD if he had not taken the cowardly way out, and stood trial. If he was innocent he certainly had a choice to exercise his constitutional right to a fair trial.

Imo, he didn't because he knew they did have all the concrete evidence where a jury could find him guilty BARD. He knew it was just a matter of time, and he was living on borrowed time. He also knew it was very likely if convicted he would also receive a sentence putting him on death row.

They already had what they needed to arrest, and charge him, but like any murder investigation more, and more evidence would be discovered by LE.

In the articles I've read when the police was answering questions, I'm glad to see they are going to continue to investigate CT to see if he was involved in other unsolved cases.

They are able to do so now due to having his DNA profile which he left in Faye's case.

Bear with me on the technical and possibly unpleasant details. Please skip this if you are squeamish.

There are post-mortem 'bodily' processes that take place without fail, on a reliable timeline. These processes would prevent many of the scenarios discussed such as hiding her body under a mattress, in a suitcase, in a vent, fridge, or storage unit. Even in a car trunk - especially in when it's warm outside - this would not work.

Physically, within the three day window when she was missing, Faye's body would have passed through several stages. Rigor mortis (meaning 'stiff body''). After three days, rigor mortis subsides.

Decay processes begin immediately. In short, bodies leak fluid right off. The fluid smells very bad. Bodies give off gases. They smell very bad too. Bodies change in appearance. There is no way to disguise the odor of death to a human nose, much less a dog trained to identify it at any distance. I cannot see how LE would have conducted a search of CT's apartment on WEDNESDAY (72 hours) with her body inside and not have noticed. There is no air freshener on earth or freezer that can cover or contain that smell. Visit your local morgue - they have industrial freezers, and you still would have no doubt about what's in there from the waiting room. It stays on your clothes, in your hair. (you may ask how I know this)

In short, I am really puzzled how no one knew she was in his apartment for three days, LE or neighbors.

I can picture a scenario where a small child could be kept in a refrigerator or freezer compartment from Monday up until the time when CT might have learned LE was checking refrigeration units in other the apartments in the complex. CT might then move the body to another location in the apartment and then been subjected to a LE search of his own on Wednesday. Possible; because we don't know if LE searched CT's apt or simply stepped inside and made observations while speaking to him. Temperature of the body makes a big difference in the decomposition time line.

I think he did as otherwise he would have aroused suspicion when he was interviewed.

To me he fits the profile, just I wonder about other crimes he's committed and the involvement of others in current or past crimes. It for instance would not surprise me at all for there to be secondary arrests for people who didn't take part in the murder but with whom he shared child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 with over the internet and that he could have created child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 instead of just distributing.

I dont understand what you are posting. How could he have a verified alibi when his DNA was found linking him as the kidnapper, and murderer of Faye?

We have no idea if he was already on the list of potential suspects. He very well could have been since it's obvious by the neighborhood lockdown LE believed all along the abductor lived in it, and believed they would find her in that area. I do think they already had an eye on him, and that is why they made sure to track the garbage cans that included CTs.

Being suspicious of someone is not evidence or to meet probable cause, and even if he had no alibi by pretending he was home alone at the time she was kidnapped... that still isn't enough for an arrest.

They needed more than suspicions. Like always they needed evidence, and they found it linking only CT to the heinous crimes he committed.

Whatever he told them when first speaking with him was a lie IF he said he was elsewhere. The evidence shows otherwise. They even have video of him linking him to Faye being buried close to his place.

They will probably have more video footage evidence of CT once they go through all of them reviewing each one closely.

I do think they were already suspicious of CT. He lived very close to the home she was abducted from within eyesight. He was single. His roommate was staying with his girlfriend. So they knew he had M&O. Once the autopsy of Faye was completed leaving the coroner in tears. LE then knew the motive for why he did such a depraved wicked act, IMO.

Assuming this horrific crime happened in CT apartment. I could see him putting her body in the bathtub/shower until he tried to figure out his next steps. I also believe he was well aware that LE was going door to door, he also had to worry about his roommate coming home. I think this poor little girls body was moved within the apartment.

I initially asked about the silver vehicle belonging to him because maybe he put her in his car and left. But it appears that he may not have owned a car.

All those are possibles for sure.

Imo, the main thing LE wants to find out about CT now they have his DNA profile is if he is connected to any other unsolved crimes. He could have attempted to kidnap children before, but they were able to escape. They may come forward an identify him.

Imo hes a pedophile, and they dont just become one at the age of 30.

I'm sure they have run CT info/dna through CODIS.

Not really, he could have said he was at work or he was alone. They would then have to verify the alibi.
