Why wouldn't LE walk door-door through the neighborhood and ask anyone with a visible camera?
They've been collecting camera footage since last night but are asking for additional footage - cellphone, Ring camera, etc.. MOO

Who knows- good questions. We don’t know how long separated or if amicable. Or if current on child support. Or relationships btwn former spouses & ex’s new partners. These dynamics can get very complicated. We know nothing.
Right. Could be complicated or perfectly friendly. Not everyone can afford to make frequent car trips even if it seems reasonable to others to make the trip. Maybe the father works on weekends, making weekend visits difficult. Maybe everyone is perfectly fine with visits every couple of months. Or, maybe there are huge problems with the dynamics. We don't know.

At the moment, my eyes are on the neighborhood, not another city.

According to...who? I've only read the last fifty posts or so since I last checked in. Where is the information about the biological father?
Search continues for 6-year-old girl missing in South Carolina

WLTX's sister station WCNC Charlotte went to Faye’s father’s home in Rowan County Tuesday afternoon. His girlfriend, who considers herself Faye’s stepmother, said they last saw Faye around Christmas time, but they were actually planning to visit her in Cayce, South Carolina this weekend. The girlfriend said they are hoping anyone with video surveillance will provide it to police, adding they also hope anyone with information will call the special tip line for the case.

They were both parked in front of Faye's residence
If they were parked in front of the residence, do the cars belong to Faye's mom and stepdad? Do we know for a fact those cars were parked in front of Faye's house? Or is the parking communal to that complex?

They might if they live there. Jmo
Oh dear ... is this gonna be like Lizzie ? I can’t take it ....
I first thought somer but with this news - ugh

MassGuy posted a photo of both cars parked in front of the home a few pages back. They are the same two cars that were later towed. We haven't heard who the cars belong to. MOO

Hmmm most criminals that use a car for their crimes don’t leave them at the scene IMO
What is going on here ?
If they lived there...looks like a duplex - there are 2 doors (separate entrances it seems). Who knows how a person thinks - probably always that they will get away with the crime, etc etc. JMO

No names of dad, mom, step mom, step dad. Sitting on my hands for now.
Dad, Dad’s girlfriend live together in Rowan County NC per the Charlotte news station article. Mom and Mom’s boyfriend live with Faye?
JMO thinking out loud.

Search continues for 6-year-old girl missing in South Carolina

Updated: 6:27 PM EST February 11, 2020

Swetlik was last seen around 3:44 p.m. Monday while playing in her front yard at Londonderry Lane in Cayce just off Highway 302 in the Churchill Heights neighborhood.

Snellgrove said the little girl's mother was home at the time of the disappearance. He said his investigators have spoken to the mother, the father, and the mother's boyfriend, and all are being cooperative.

When asked if there was evidence of an abduction, the chief said "not at this time, there doesn't appear to be."

No evidence of abduction.

Sadly, an all to familiar tale.

Perhaps for Valentines Day or since some schools are closed next Monday for Presidents Day.

Damn, makes me think she had an altercation with someone in her house and one of those cars belong to someone who lives there.

The big difference here is the tight timeline. That’s what makes this different from cases like you are suggesting.

It doesn’t mean I’m not still leaning that way myself, but it sure is odd.

Do we know when the picture was taken? Yesterday or today just before they were towed?

It was Tweeted today, and judging by the lighting, I definitely think it was taken today. Just not sure when.

Here’s a video I found of a journalist sharing video of the cars out front and talking with someone beyond the door it appears.
Adam Myrick

The yellow tape diagonally across the door on the left duplex, is that Faye's residence?
And why that yellow tape?

  • #558
If the door with the yellow tape is Faye's house, I doubt anyone is staying there. Which leads me to believe the cars being towed are probably the neighbor's. But then again, if they're taping off the house, they could've been told to leave their cars as well......who knows.....

It’s a duplex with a common porch that you enter from either side it appears. I think they closed off the entrance to the porch - IMHO

That, it’s daylight, and the houses are close together. You’d think someone would spot something amiss.

It makes sense she could wander off, but law enforcement isn’t behaving that way (towing cars and all).

They just have to know a lot more.
